Rays prospect catcher Nick Ciuffo went 2-for-4 with a home run for rookie-level Princeton on Monday.
Ciuffo struggled in June and July, hitting just .207/.287/.276 with five doubles and one home run, but has come alive in August, hitting .304/.347/.543 with one triple and three home runs over 12 games. Ciuffo has a smooth swing from the left side, and has the potential to hit .300 with 15 home runs, but is unlikely to reach the major leagues until late-2017 or mid-2018.
