Max Muncy smashed a walkoff home run in the 18th inning on Friday, propelling the Dodgers to a 3-2 victory over the Red Sox in Game 3 of the World Series.
Muncy may have saved the Dodgers season with his opposite-field blast off of Nathan Eovaldi, as the Dodgers were staring at a 3-0 deficit in the series if they didn't find a way to gut out Friday's victory. In terms of innings (18) and time (7:20), it was the longest game in World Series history. Muncy also doubled and drew a pair of walks in the contest, finishing the night 2-for-6 with a pair of runs scored. For the postseason, he's hitting .214/.389/.452 with three long balls and six RBI.
