Jake Buchanan allowed three runs -- including two on a pair of solo home runs -- in five innings but got a no-decision in Thursday's loss to the Blue Jays.
Buchanan was making his first start since June 21, having served several times out of the bullpen in the time since. He was starting in place of Jarred Cosart, who was traded to the Marlins prior to Thursday's 4 PM ET deadline. The right-hander yielded five hits, walked none, and struck out three. Brad Peacock, not Buchanan, will likely take Cosart's rotation spot long-term, however. In the off-chance the Astros have Buchanan make another start, he'll be on schedule to face the Phillies on the road on Wednesday. Jul 31 - 11:10 PM
