Yairo Munoz went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, two runs scored, three RBI and a pair of walks in Sunday's 13-8 loss in San Francisco.
Munoz did an outstanding job in place of Paul DeJong, especially defensively, while he was sidelined for six-plus weeks. He was working in place of Kolten Wong in Sunday's game, and continued his offensive surge. In seven games in the month of July the infielder is hitting 7-for-20 (.350) with a double, two homers and six RBI. With DeJong back, Munoz is likely to see a decrease in playing time. He has totaled just two at-bats over the past three outings, so he should only be rostered in deeper NL-only fantasy leagues unless injuries create more opportunity again. Jul 8 - 11:17 PM
