Matt Koch was touched up for nine hits and eight runs over 4 1/3 innings Wednesday in Arizona’s loss to the Brewers.
Koch gave out one free pass in the loss while throwing 54 of his 83 pitches for strikes. Nearly all of the damage came on home runs as Koch served up long balls to Travis Shaw, Domingo Santana, Christian Yelich and Tyler Saladino. The eight earned runs were as many as Koch had allowed in his previous four starts combined. The right-hander will look to redeem himself in his next outing Monday against the same Milwaukee team he just lost to. May 16 - 7:48 PM
