Sprint Cup regular (No. 36) J.J. Yeley secures the last qualifying slot open to teams outside of the top 30 in owner points for the Nationwide Series race.
The No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro driver’s lap of 176.234 mph was 34th fastest in qualifying for the the Nationwide Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway. He will line up 40th at the green flag.

Starting the race at Martinsville in 37th, J.J. Yeley's first order of business was to move up and try to avoid the accidents that the half mile was notorious for.
Going laps down early in the race, Yeley continued to fight. Half way through, several quick cautions came out, allowing Yeley to get a lap back and make changes to the car. Still fighting to the end, Yeley finished the weekend at Martinsville Speedway's STP Gas Booster 500 in 27th. He is currently 122 points behind leader Jimmie Johnson in the race for the Sprint Cup Championship. This week the TBR teams head to the circus, the Wild Asphalt Circus at Texas Motor Speedway.-140 BUZZ

J.J.Yeley assigned the top provisional start for the Sprint Cup STP Gas Booster 500 at Martinsville Speedway.
Of the teams that were not the 36 fastest in qualifying, positions 37 through 42 are assigned as provisional starting positions based on owner points. He qualified the No. 36 Chevrolet 37th fastest for the event.

J.J. Yeley has a total of 9 starts at the 1/2 mile track in Martinsville, Virginia.
His best finish came in 2006, when he ended the race in 20th position. Yeley's average finish is 33.3. Although Yeley did not finish at Fontana as well as he would have liked, he moved up one position in the NASCAR Sprint Cup standings. Yeley is currently 26th, 107 points behind leader Dale Earnhardt Jr.-Tommy Baldwin Racing
