Sunday’s Coke 600 marks Kurt Busch’s 412th career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start and his 24th Sprint Cup start at Charlotte.
He has one win, five top-five finishes and six top-10s and has 495 laps led in 23 career Sprint Cup starts at Charlotte. His lone win at Charlotte was the 2010 Coca-Cola 600. Busch qualified second and led 252 laps en route to the victory. His average Charlotte finish is 19.4 and his average start is 20.9. Busch has competed in 23 races at Charlotte and has been running at the end of each except for three – all of which were the result of accidents.-True Speed Communication

NASCAR has fined Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 51 car in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, $50,000 and placed him on NASCAR probation until July 25 for his actions during the May 12 race at Darlington Raceway.
Busch violated Section 12-1 "reckless driving on pit road during the race; involved in an altercation with another competitor after the completion of the race" of the 2012 NASCAR Rule Book. Additionally, Craig Strickler, a crew member for the No. 51 team, has been fined $5,000 and placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31 for violating Section 12-1 "interfering with a member of the broadcast media". The violations occurred post-race.

Kurt Busch (Sprint Cup regular, No. 51) leads the only practice session for the Nationwide Series VFW Sport Clips Help a Hero 200 at Darlington Raceway.
His lap of 171.740 mph in the No. 54 Toyota was the quickest of the 43 cars running in this session. No. 3 Austin Dillon, No. 11 Brian Scott, No. 2 Elliott Sadler and No. 18 Denny Hamlin were the rest of the top 5 on the speed chart. No. 74 Mike Harmon was the slowest.

Kurt Busch has two top-five finishes and five top-10s and has 183 laps led in 15 career Sprint Cup starts at Darlington Raceway.
His average Darlington finish is 17.1. He earned two pole awards at Darlington. Busch has been running at the end of all 15 races. In addition to Sprint Cup action, Busch will be competing in Friday night’s Sport Clips 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race. It will be the first time Busch has competed in a series other than Sprint Cup at Darlington.-True Speed Communication
