Raymond Felton (ankle) finished the Knicks' Game 6 loss to the Pacers with two points on 0-of-7 shooting, ending his season on a down-beat.
During the playoffs Felton averaged 15.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.7 steals in 38 minutes per game. Other than the assists those numbers are an improvement from his regular season, during which he also shot just 42.7 percent from the field. He's shot better than 43.1 percent once in his career (2008-09 with Charlotte) and we're not expecting a jump-shot renaissance in 2013-14.
May 19 - 12:17 AM
Raymond Felton (ankle) is "fine," and is expected to play in Game 6 vs. Indiana after receiving treatment.
Felton's been dealing with the ankle issue since the beginning of the month, but he doesn't anticipate taking any time off and that lines up with both the Knicks' expectations and ours. Felton will play through almost anything he can, but the ankle may limit what he's able to do in terms of his mobility on Saturday.

Raymond Felton was limping in post-game interviews due to ankle soreness but said he expects to play on Saturday.
He did not practice on May 9 due to left ankle soreness. "My ankle is sore but I'll be fine for Saturday," Felton said. He didn't really show much signs of his ankle bothering him during the game and it didn't look like he aggravated it on a specific play. Anyone that has played on an ankle that is less than 100 percent can probably put themselves in Felton's shoes and we're not expecting any limitations on Felton for Game 6.
May 16 - 11:52 PM

Jonah Ballow on Twitter
Raymond Felton played well in Thursday's victory to cut the series deficit to 3-2, scoring 12 points with five boards, four assists and no turnovers in 37 minutes.
He had some success against the undersized D.J. Augustin and even pulled down four offensive boards. Felton shot 6-of-14 from the field in this game, which is just a shade below his postseason field goal shooting of 46.8 percent. Felton's improved play has gone a long way with the struggles of Jason Kidd. Kidd hasn't made any of his 13 field goal attempts in May and has no points in that span. Felton could be a bigger part of the game plan on Saturday with the possibility of Indiana being without George Hill again.

Sidelined
J.R. Smith played through the postseason with a swollen left knee "that contained fluid buildup," a source told the New York Post.
According to the source, Smith is "likely" to have his knee drained at some point during the next two weeks. While this would certainly help to explain Smith's struggles in the playoffs, we're not buying into the idea that the knee was solely responsible for his shortcomings. He's expected to be fine well in advance of training camp, but it's unknown where he'll be. He has until June 25 to exercise his player option for next year, or he'll be an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.

Carmelo Anthony
Sidelined
An MRI revealed that Carmelo Anthony has a small labral tear in his left shoulder.
The plan for Anthony will be to let the injury heal on its own for three or four weeks, then if there is no improvement, surgery will become an option. Melo's shooting numbers were awful in the postseason, making just 29.8 percent from the field. There's no correlation to his shoulder causing this issue, but it does make some sense since he was visibly bothered by the issue over the past month. Regardless of the treatment, Anthony should be ready for the 2013-14 opener.
