Brandon Bass tied a career-high with 27 points on 9-of-13 shooting (9-of-10 from the foul line), six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks in the Celtics' 101-85 Game 5 win over the Sixers on Monday.
With just 10 turnovers and advantages across the stat sheet, the Celtics controlled the game and control the series heading into Wednesday's Game 6. Rajon Rondo went for 13 and 14, Ray Allen continued to be quiet with five points on 2-of-7 shooting, KG scored 20 points with six boards and two steals, Paul Pierce scored 16 points, and Greg Stiemsma showed up with 10 points and three blocks.

Brandon Bass struggled to get anything going on Friday, posting 10 points on just 4-of-15 shooting to go along with five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
It's a decent line for Bass, but with the Celtics resting most of their key players, owners were likely expecting more from the power forward. He won't have shooting nights like he did tonight very often.

Brandon Bass said he wants to remain with the Celtics.
Bass has a $4 million player option for next season, but he could choose to opt out and seek a pay raise after his solid inaugural season in Boston. He's averaging 13.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in a starting role, and he's carved out a nice role with the Celtics. "I want to be here a long time playing alongside Rondo," Bass said.

Brandon Bass had 22 points, nine rebounds and three blocks in Sunday's win over the Bobcats.
Bass was the focal point of the offense with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen all out. His 19 field-goal attempts were a season-high and the 22 points matched a season-high. Bass will still be an asset going forward, but he won't usually be playing as the Celtics' No. 1 option while facing the lowly Bobcats.

Sidelined
Keyon Dooling (illness) did not practice on Friday and is questionable to play in Game 7 against the Sixers on Saturday.
Dooling would be in line for more minutes with Avery Bradley's (shoulder) surgery forcing Ray Allen into the starting five, but the veteran point guard is not a lock to play in Game 7 against Philly. We'll have an update on his status when one becomes available.

Avery Bradley (shoulder) will undergo surgery on Friday.
Bradley is expected to need four months of rehab after surgery, so he should be ready to go before next season begins. It's a brutal way for Bradley's season to end after he played through pain, and the Celtics will certainly miss his on-ball defense in the postseason. Ray Allen and Mickael Pietrus will both be thrust into bigger roles with Bradley sidelined.
