Andray Blatche's weight ballooned above 280 pounds this season, sources tell the Washington Post.
Blatche's injuries, attitude and work ethic contributed to a nightmare season that saw the Wizards essentially send him home. He's now on the trading block and a candidate for the amnesty clause. Blatche is no better than a 50-50 bet to be back with the Wizards next season.

Wizards beat writer Michael Lee believes that Andray Blatche could be an amnesty candidate.
We think that's pretty obvious. Blatche is owed $23 million over the next three seasons, and he did not contribute whatsoever this season. Although Blatche called this season a "minor setback," he showed up to camp out of shape and didn't appear committed to the game. Lee also believes Rashard Lewis could be bought out, and the Wizards will "have some money to get upgrades in free agency" if either of those things happen.

Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld said Andray Blatche has "not necessarily" played his last game with the organization.
Blatche is owed a ridiculous $23 million over the next three seasons, making him a candidate for the amnesty clause. He showed up to camp wildly out of shape this season and ended up missing 40 games. When he was on the court, he managed just 8.5 points per game. If Blatche is back with the Wiz, he projects as a reserve behind Nene and Kevin Seraphin.

Randy Wittman said the chances of Blatche playing again this season were "slim," and that could very well be a jab at how Blatche came into camp out of shape this year. It's been a forgettable season for Blatche, who has averaged 8.5 points and 5.8 rebounds on 38 percent shooting in 26 games.

Crawford made just 1-of-8 shots in 20 minutes on Monday, and he might as well rest with the Wizards bound for the draft lottery. In his absence, expect to see more of Shelvin Mack, Cartier Martin and even Morris Almond. Martin started in his place on Wednesday.

The Wizards view Rashard Lewis as a valuable trade chip, according to the Washington Post.
Lewis is owed $23.7 million in 2012-13, the final year of his contract. As teams begin to look to the free agent class of 2013, he could indeed be very valuable. Meanwhile, Lewis says his career is far from over, but knee woes have limited him to 85 games of woeful ineffectiveness during the last two seasons.
