Timberwolves released Brandon Roy.
This could very well be the end of the line for Roy. There was a clause in his contract that allowed the Wolves to terminate his two-year deal after one year if his knees weren't healthy. After appearing in just five games this season, it's clear he's shot. Once a rising young superstar in the league, Roy was felled by seven career knee surgeries. Now 28, the 2007 Rookie of the Year and three-time All-Star is unlikely to get another chance.
