Backup point guard Marcus Williams saw extra playing time due to the Warriors' small lineup on Saturday, playing 27 minutes on his way to eight points on 3-of-8 shooting (including two 3-pointers) with four rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
He got the extra run because of the opposition, but he could also see extra minutes so the Grizzlies can get a good look at him for their future plans. However, Mike Conley is playing well and there's no chance that they bench him without an injury, so Williams' fantasy prospects don't look good.

Grizzlies backup PG Marcus Williams had 13 points, two 3-pointers, three rebounds, six assists and just one turnover in 21 minutes off the bench on Saturday.
Williams has shown a few signs of life, including a 16-point game this week, but as long as Mike Conley is healthy he should remain a marginal fantasy option in average leagues.

Marcus Williams came off the bench for 16 points and five assists in Wednesday's easy win over the Celtics.
Starter Mike Conley had 12 points, six boards, six assists and two 3-pointers, which means Williams' line was more of a fluke than anything else.

Marcus Williams has overtaken Jamaal Tinsley for the Grizzlies' backup PG job.
Williams is averaging about 13.5 minutes since taking over the gig on Feb. 6, racking up 18 assists and four turnovers in that time. Neither guy has value as long as starter Mike Conley is healthy.
