Flip Saunders said there is no repair work necessary with Kevin Love before next season begins.
"I don't think so," he said when asked if there needs to be "any repair between the organization and the player." Love's lost season is raising questions about his future with the Timberwolves, but he's close to Rick Adelman and the team is confident about their future around Love. Saunders revealed that Love is about a week and a half out from doing "unlimited" physical activity, so he'll be good to go well in advance of training camp.

According to ex-GM David Kahn, he had to convince Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor that Kevin Love was worth a maximum contract.
If true, it's a seriously large statement and a potential reflection of why Love has said what he has about the organization in the past. "We handled it the best way we can, and of course I handled it per instructions from the owner," Kahn said. "Glen and I talked about it at length. I think it actually took me some time to tell Glen it was imperative he receive max money." Kahn also revealed that Love really wanted the five-year deal instead of the four-year deal he settled for instead. Love can opt out of his contract in 2015.

Kevin Love (knee surgery) didn't use crutches on Saturday and said he will "not miss any normal offseason workouts."
"It's a big summer for [the Wolves]," said Love. "Just getting back in shape, in a month luckily I'll have a clean bill of health and will be ready to go." He just had arthroscopic surgery on Wednesday, which obviously was of the 'minor' variety, and it sounds like he'll have the entire summer to get himself into prime shape for a playoff run in 2013-14.

Kevin Love had a plate removed from his injured left hand and had arthroscopic knee surgery on Wednesday.
He's now out for the season due to the knee surgery, but it's nice to see that his hand injury is improving, too. Love has missed a whopping 26.5 games per season over his last four, so he'll be a risky pick in fantasy drafts given his shaky track record.

After undergoing knee surgery Monday, Malcolm Lee had an operation on his hip on Wednesday.
The hip procedure completes a surgery doubleheader for Lee, who faces a very lengthy and difficult rehab to get back on the court. Needless to say, he's out for the season.

Former Timberwolves GM David Kahn believes Nikola Pekovic is "probably aiming for a double-digit salary" as a restricted free agent during the offseason.
It's what we expected to hear, but Pekovic's free agency has the potential to turn into a monster headache for the team. The Wolves aren't good enough as currently constructed, but they can't really afford to lose Pekovic without a suitable replacement. A desperate team will throw Pekovic a multi-year offer at something like $10-12 million per season, a figure that may be difficult for Minnesota to match when looking at all of the holes on the roster. It's rare a team lets a restricted free agent leave, especially someone as critical as Pekovic is to Minnesota.
