Phil Jackson is helping to advise the Pistons' coaching search, and the Detroit Free Press previously speculated that Jackson's role would land Shaw an interview. Shaw has also drawn interest from the Nets recently, but he's not expected to officially interview for any opening until the Pacers' season concludes.

It's about time Shaw gets his chance as a head coach and he could have it as early as this offseason. Although he's not expected to interview for any position until the Pacers season ends, he'll be a hot commodity on the coaching market. The Nets are expected to reach out to a variety of candidates in an extensive search.

The Detroit Free Press believes Phil Jackson's involvement in the Pistons coaching search could boost the candidacy of Brian Shaw.
Shaw has been deserving of an opportunity as a head coach for a while now, and the speculation makes sense considering Shaw studied and played under Jackson previously. With the Pacers in the playoffs, Shaw is unlikely to interview for any job until Indiana's season ends. He's been previously linked to the Sixers vacancy as well.

The Pistons are "casting a wide net" with their coaching search including Pacers assistant Brian Shaw.
Heat assistant David Fizdale is also in the mix, and it sounds like Nate McMillan isn't exactly a slam dunk for the job just yet. The Pistons are exhausting every avenue which is the right approach after a disappointing season.

Sidelined
George Hill remains day-to-day with a concussion.
Hill missed Thursday's Game 5 after suffering the injury Tuesday night. The Pacers said Hill showed no symptoms after Tuesday's game but admitted to headaches on Thursday and then proceeded to fail a concussion test. Hill will have to pass several levels of concussion testing as part of the league's protocol before he can return. The Pacers lead the series 3-2 and will host Game 6 on Saturday night.

Danny Granger (knee surgery) said he'll "hopefully" be ready for training camp.
Granger's knee injury was not cut-and-dry. He didn't realize there was a problem until training camp, tried to come back unsuccessfully and ended up playing in just five games. Now that he's had surgery, the situation is even more hairy. Once a fantasy darling thanks to his versatile skill set, Granger will come with a ton of red flags in 2013-14 fantasy drafts. He turned 30 years old on Saturday.
