Keith Smart said that Jimmer Fredette will remain in the rotation.
Even with Marcus Thornton (calf) back in the lineup, Fredette is going to be given run no matter how bad he plays at times. His minutes have fluctuated heavily during that span of time, but owners in deeper leagues should take notice of his production. He has scored 40 points in his last three games.

Jimmer Fredette played 21 minutes off the bench on Tuesday and had 13 points, including 3-of-7 from deep, and two steals as the Kings lost to the Mavericks.
Fredette is quietly averaging 13 points per game over his last three and could be worth a speculative add for those in need of 3-pointers. His minutes may be erratic but with the regular season coming to a close, the Kings may want to give Fredette some quality playing time.

Jimmer Fredette drew a start at shooting guard on Sunday and had 17 points, four assists and three 3-pointers on 7-of-15 shooting.
Marcus Thornton, Francisco Garcia and John Salmons were all out for the Kings, but Fredette had been coming off the bench. He looked good tonight, but is still a very risky fantasy play, especially with Terrence Williams playing well, and with Marcus Thornton due back soon from his calf injury.

Jimmer Fredette said he found his rhythm after scoring 19 points (three treys) in 25 minutes on Monday.
"I just got into a rhythm, and guys were finding me," Fredette said. "It felt pretty good (Monday), and hopefully it continues." Fredette saw an increased role with Marcus Thornton (thigh) knocked out of the game, and the 25 minutes of playing time could be a good estimation of what to expect from him if Thornton is forced to miss extended time. Expectations should be tempered, and we'd like to see him do it more consistently before hitting the waiver wire to grab him.

Marcus Thornton (quad) will not play in Thursday's finale against the Lakers.
Thornton ends up missing 15 of 66 games this season due to quad and calf issues. But when he played, the former second-round pick once again proved that he can score at an extremely high level. He set career highs in points per game (18.7), 3-pointers (2.1), steals (1.4) and free-throw percentage (86.5). Thornton will return as the starting shooting guard again next season.

John Salmons (hip) is not traveling with the Kings.
Salmons is almost certainly done for the season. He was relegated to a bench role mdiway through the season and will end up averaging just 7.5 points per game on 40.9 percent shooting. Salmons is due $8 million next season and his role will depend on the moves the Kings make this offseason.

Hassan Whiteside said his season was done due to a severe ankle injury.
No surprise, here. Whiteside will be a guy to watch over the offseason to see if he can cash in some of his freakish athleticism and turn it into production.
