Former NBA sharpshooter Damon Jones has officially retired.
Jones left the NBA after the 2008-09 season, playing in Italy and Puerto Rico before landing in the D-League last season, where he entertained the idea of a comeback. He now hopes to transition into "coaching, management, or whatever the situation may be," and he was given a leg up by Celtics assistant Tyronn Lue, who agreed to let him work with the Celts' Summer League team.

Former NBA guard Damon Jones was the high scorer during Josh Howard's charity game on Saturday, pouring in 54 points on ridiculous 18-of-25 shooting from downtown.
Kevin Durant finished with 24 points and 22 assists, while Nick Young scored 32 points and had a few crowd-pleasing dunks (follow the link). Young wore a Jumpman logo on his jersey despite vowing to boycott Michael Jordan's brand in light of MJ's role in CBA talks.

In a recent interview, Damon Jones shared that he is hoping to make a return to the NBA in the upcoming season.
Jones has been playing for international teams in Italy and Puerto Rico this season. He has been a deadly 3-point threat in the past but his stats have declined steadily since his 2004-2005 season with Miami. Jones also has the distinction of playing with ten different teams in an eleven year period, including two stints with Milwaukee.

After rarely playing for the Bucks last season, Damon Jones has signed a one-year deal with Napoli in Italy's top division.
He hasn't been relevant in a few seasons now, so you won't even know he's gone.
