Former NBA power forward Stromile Swift has been arrested for allegedly stalking his ex-girlfriend.
Swift was arrested in February for aggravated assault involving the same woman, and this time the police found a handgun and a shotgun in his vehicle. He is 31 years old and it's safe to say that his NBA career is over -- he's been playing in China for the past few years.

Veteran big man Stromile Swift hopes to return to the NBA this season.
Swift spent last year playing in China but seems eager to return to the U.S., saying, "It doesn't matter what team it is." The veteran PF's disappointing NBA career has produced averages of 8.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in 547 games. With few quality big men on the FA market, he should be able to find a team.

The 76ers waived big man Stromile Swift on Monday.
Swift, the second overall pick in 2000, was bothered by a strained hamstring all preseason. He could still latch on with another team.

Free agent Stromile Swift, who is trying to make the Sixers, strained his left hamstring early in Tuesday's practice and sat out the rest of the day.
Swift will also sit out today's session and is probably a long shot to make the team. But the good news is that fantasy owners will no longer be taunted by the sick athleticism and shot-blocking potential of the perennial bust.

Jason Richardson's knee surgery was called "Denovo surgery."
Denovo surgery is where the doctors take juvenile cartilage and implant it back into the damaged knees where there is a cartilage issue present. This was an alternative to micro-fracture surgery, which most fantasy basketball owners are all too familiar with at this point. Even without setbacks, Richardson won't be able to resume normal basketball activity until "late January-early February."

An NBA GM said that Andrew Bynum won't get more than a one-year deal.
This isn't exactly earth-shattering news on Bynum and conventional wisdom would suggest that most teams would be extremely apprehensive to sign him to a multi-year contract. He missed every game this year and over the previous five seasons, Bynum missed 26.0 games per season. A 25-year-old center already having serious durability issues is going to make it tough on his agent to get leverage in contract negotiations.
