DE Chris Clemons' three-sack game in Sunday's rout of the Rams was the first by a Seahawk since 2007.
Lined up against third-string left tackle Kevin Hughes, Clemons was also able to force two fumbles in a monster IDP performance. With Redskins LT Trent Williams looking doubtful for Week 12 with a knee injury, Clemons should have another favorable matchup lined up.

The Gainesville Sun reports that Seahawks DL coach Dan Quinn is headed to Florida to become the Gators' defensive coordinator.
We don't see how it's that big of an upward move, considering new Gators head coach Will Muschamp is a defensive mind. Quinn coached up career years from DEs Chris Clemons (11 sacks) and Red Bryant while also getting highly productive play from DTs Colin Cole (44 tackles) and Kentwan Balmer (43 tackles). Muschamp looks to get putting together a true all-star staff.

Seahawks DL Chris Clemons finished Week 4 with four tackles and two sacks in a loss to the Rams.
As bad as the Seahawks' pass protection was, the Rams' pass pro wasn't much better. Week 4 would be Clemons' second consecutive game with a pair of sacks after he got to Philip Rivers twice in Week 3. The journeyman logged a career-high eight sacks in 2007 as a Raider, but heads into a Week 5 bye on pace to double that total.

Chris Clemons and Lawrence Jackson are currently practicing as the Seahawks' first-string defensive ends.
Jackson is the "Leo," or left end, while Clemons is at the "elephant," or right end position. Nick Reed is backing up Clemons, and rookie E.J. Wilson is behind Jackson. Defensive tackle Red Bryant is also getting work as a "five technique" defensive end in certain packages. It's a run-stopping position.

Seahawks WRs Sidney Rice (shoulder surgeries) and Kris Durham (shoulder surgery) ran routes during Thursday's OTA workout.
Both players, along with sixth-round S Winston Guy, wore red non-contact jerseys as a precaution. The optimistic Seahawks expect Rice to be the healthiest he's ever been by the time training camp rolls around. As far as we're concerned, the three concussions in a 12-month span are every bit as worrisome as Rice's twin shoulder surgeries.

Seahawks WR Kris Durham, placed on injured reserve this week, underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder.
So there's no truth to the rumor that Durham injured his shoulder when the Seahawks twisted his arm to go on I.R. The 2011 fourth-rounder is facing a six-month recovery timetable, leaving him questionable for an important round of OTAs next spring.

Seahawks WR Golden Tate is sporting a cast on his hand after suffering an injury in Wednesday's practice.
Tate was absent from Thursday's practice, though the severity of the injury is unclear. Tate is expected to compete for the starting job opposite Sidney Rice this summer.

Receivers Mike Williams (leg) and Sidney Rice (shoulder surgeries, concussions) are not taking part in Seahawks voluntary workouts.
Rice's absence was expected, but there was an outside chance Williams would participate. Recovering from a broken left ankle and fibula, Williams will have to be 100 percent healthy to even be in the mix for a roster spot in training camp.
