The Broncos averaged 65.5 snaps per week over their first 12 games last season, but 75.6 snaps over their final five contests.

The Patriots led the NFL in average plays per game (74.4). It's no secret that Peyton Manning's offense is pushing to rip off more plays from scrimmage this year, a point of emphasis during OTAs. "We're trying to give him as many tools as possible," explained OC Adam Gase. "You want to give him the ability where, 'Hey, we can wear them out if we go really fast.' The surgery, which is believed to have taken place either in late January or early February, involved the removal of stem cells from Moreno's pelvis. They were then inserted into his right knee. TE	1	Joel Dreessen Sidelined Broncos TE Joel Dreessen underwent arthroscopic surgery to "clean up" his knee. Coach John Fox termed it "just a little knee procedure, scope, done, just to clean it up." Fox added this would be a good opportunity for backup tight end Julius Thomas, who missed most of his first two seasons with injuries, to get quality reps.
