Free agent CB Nick Harper (shoulder surgery) says he can finally pass a physical.
If Harper is speaking the truth about his health, there's a chance some teams will kick the tires on him. But he's now 35 and is a liability in coverage at the point. The Titans almost certainly don't want him back, and other teams won't be beating down his door either.

Free agent CB Nick Harper (shoulder surgery) is still unable to pass a physical.
Even if/when Harper gets healthy, he almost certainly won't get a job with the Titans. They've brought back Rod Hood and added Tye Hill to compete with Ryan Mouton and Jason McCourty. They are also expected to address the corner position in the draft.

The Titans have reportedly reached out to free agent CB Nick Harper in hopes of brokering a deal.
Harper turns 36 before the season, is no longer a starting-caliber player, and is recovering from offseason shoulder surgery. While the Titans couldn't have been pleased by Jason McCourty and Ryan Mouton's rookie years, they should be able to do better than Harper. Using their first-round pick on a corner to book end Cortland Finnegan wouldn't be a bad idea.

The 36-year-old is expected to be recovered by OTAs, but he's a longshot to return to Tennessee this year. Harper struggled mightily in coverage in 2009 and will have a hard time landing a job in free agency.

Walter has barely practiced since signing in April, and is starting to hurt his roster chances. At this point, Walter might need Tennessee to renege on its promise of keeping Nate Washington to have a real shot at making the 53-man roster.

Second-round WR Justin Hunter (hamstring) participated in individual drills on the final day of Titans minicamp Wednesday.
It was Hunter's first practice of any kind during OTAs. It puts him on track to be ready for team drills when training camp begins late next month, but he'll be on the spot to prove he can stay on the field after WRs coach Shawn Jefferson questioned his toughness in May. Hunter has the talent to make an impact as a rookie, but the Titans' erratic passing attack could hold him back.

Coach Mike Munchak said KR/WR Marc Mariani (leg) has been "amazing" through spring workouts.
Mariani sustained a compound fracture in his left leg during the preseason last year. He's not 100 percent yet, but appears to be getting close. Mariani holds a career average of 24.8 yards per kickoff return and 11.2 yards per punt return. Darius Reynaud averaged 23.4 yards on kickoff returns and 13.2 yards on punt returns last season, and has since been re-signed to a one-year contract.
