Todd Heap caught two passes for 35 yards and a touchdown on two targets versus the Seahawks in Week 17.
Sharing snaps with Jeff King and rookie Rob Housler, Heap finished with a 24/283/1 line in his first season with the Cardinals. Turning 32 in March, Heap has missed a total of 10 games the past two seasons. Clearly on the decline, Heap won't be draftable as a TE2 next summer.

Todd Heap was held to just two catches for 29 yards against the Bengals in Week 16.
The Cardinals were playing catch-up for second straight game, but Heap couldn't match last week's season-best performance. Send him back to the waiver wire for next week's game versus the Seahawks.

Todd Heap caught seven passes for 69 yards against the Browns in Week 15.
Heap has yet to score a touchdown this season and has just 150 yards over four starts, but came out of nowhere to lead the Cardinals in receiving in Week 15. Arizona's tight end situation is still looking like a committee, however, with Jeff King and developmental TE Rob Housler also in the mix for weekly targets. The majority of Heap's production came as the result of the Browns focusing their attention on Larry Fitzgerald and Andre Roberts.

Todd Heap believes he has "finally turned the corner" with his hamstring injury, according to coach Ken Whisenhunt.
Heap has appeared in just six games all year and doesn't have a catch since Week 4. He's a poor bet to sustain health even though there's only a month left in the season.

Beanie Wells acknowledged Tuesday that his January 24 right knee surgery was "a little more complicated" than simply repairing his damaged meniscus.
Beanie's agent confirmed to ESPN.com's Mike Sando that the running back did not undergo microfracture surgery "or any other procedure requiring an extended recovery period." Wells isn't practicing this week, though coach Ken Whisenhunt insists the team is playing it safe. Sitting out offseason drills has been the plan all along. "It's coming along pretty good," Wells said. "No setbacks at all, I'm feeling confident about being ready when the time is right." The Cardinals plan is for Beanie to be ready by the start of training camp.

Updating a previous item, Cardinals TE Jeff King's right leg injury is a partially torn quadriceps tendon suffered in offseason workouts.
The injury did require surgery, though coach Ken Whisenhunt expects King to be ready for training camp. Whether or not he's back to 100 percent by August remains to be seen.
