Thomas Jones rushed 15 times for 42 yards in Kansas City's Week 17 win over the Broncos.
A fitting end to a season that saw Jones average just 3.1 yards on his 153 carries. A plodder who no longer contributes in the passing game, the free-agent-to-be will draw little, if any, interest on the open market.

Thomas Jones rushed 11 times for 51 yards in the Chiefs' Week 16 overtime loss to the Raiders.
Jones started, but ended up with three fewer carries than Jackie Battle. He actually cracked 4.0 yards per carry for the first time since Week 11. We wouldn't bet on it happening again in Denver next week. Jones, set to his free agency after this season, is at the end of the line.

Thomas Jones rushed 15 times for 48 yards and added one reception for 27 yards against the Packers in Week 15.
Jones ran as the lead back in Romeo Crennel's first game as head coach. The 3.2 yards per carry was his highest average in a month, and he's yet to score a touchdown this season. Running on fumes, Jones isn't a flex option for Week 16 against the Raiders.

Thomas Jones rushed five times for 12 yards in Kansas City's Week 14 loss to the Jets.
He was held without a catch. Jones was de-emphasized in favor of Jackie Battle, who managed only 33 yards on 10 carries. With the Chiefs lacking any coherent order in their backfield for weeks now, it's a situation to avoid in all formats for the duration of the fantasy playoffs.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Friday that the Chiefs have "no concerns whatsoever" about Jamaal Charles' ACL recovery.
"Chiefs tell me no concerns whatsoever," Mort reported on
ESPN 32
. "... They expect him certainly to be ready for training camp. They're excited about him." Though Charles is sitting out OTAs, all signs point to him returning fully in camp. Mort also noted new Chiefs OC Brian Daboll's success with a somewhat similar player in Reggie Bush last year with the Dolphins. Bush set career highs in carries (216) and rushing yards (1,086) in Daboll's scheme.

Chiefs TE Tony Moeaki (ACL surgery) expects to be at full strength for the opening of training camp in late July.
Moeaki has been running and lifting weights, but he's still unsure about his participation level in offseason practices beginning next month. Moeaki will be more than 10 months removed from surgery by the time camp opens, so his Week 1 status should in no way be in jeopardy.
