Tacked onto the $1.1 million left on Lee's old contract, it's actually worth just $3.09 million annually -- significantly less than originally expected and nearly a full $1 million per year lower than Shane Lechler's Raiders deal. Coach Jim Harbaugh declined to say what was ailing his No. 1 back, offering up only that he's "working through a little something." Gore has taken a tremendous amount of punishment throughout his career, but hasn't missed a game since Harbaugh took over as coach in 2011. Offseason absences are not a concern for the eight-year veteran. May 28
	2	Kendall Hunter Sidelined 49ers RB Kendall Hunter (Achilles) has resumed cutting at OTAs. Hunter will be a full eight months removed from his torn left Achilles' when the 49ers hit training camp at the end of July. Running backs have a longer recovery period than other positions because of their need to cut. It's a positive sign that Hunter's been able to do so nearly two months before camp opens. May 31

In other words, he's not putting a timeline on it. Manningham thinks he'll be ready for Week 1, but is still just five and a half months removed from tearing up his knee in Week 16.
