Tuck is eligible for annual $1 million workout bonuses. Giants GM Jerry Reese believes Justin Tuck has been underperforming and hopes Tuck can "get back to his old form."
"Obviously he didn't play as well as we think he can play," said Reese about Tuck. After posting 11.5 sacks in 2010, Tuck has just nine combined sacks in his last two injury-riddled seasons. Tuck is entering the final year of his contract and is slated to earn $4.5 million. The Giants are expected to let him play out the deal and reevaluate from there. Once an elite IDP option, his performance over the last two seasons makes it's tough to trust Tuck as a regular fantasy starter.

Justin Tuck confirmed the Giants have not approached him about his contract.
Tuck is entering the final year of his contract and will earn $4.5 million. The Giants are fully expected to let him play it out and then reevaluate. For what it's worth, he says he's going to have a "normal Justin Tuck year." The eighth-year veteran managed just four sacks in 15 games last season.

ESPN New York expects Giants LE Justin Tuck to play out the final season of his five-year, $30 million contract in 2013.
Coming off his second straight disappointing season, Tuck has been bandied about as a release candidate, but both coach Tom Coughlin and GM Jerry Reese have hinted he'll be back. The aging Giants are facing a cap crunch, but Tuck is due an affordable $4.5 million. He'll certainly be motivated in a contract season.

ESPN's Dan Graziano does not expect LE Justin Tuck to be a cap casualty.
Tuck is coming off back-to-back lackluster years, will turn 30 in March and is entering the final year of a contract that will pay him $4.5 million in 2013. But with Osi Umenyiora likely to walk in free agency, the Giants will likely hang on and hope Tuck bounces back. He'll certainly be motivated to do so as he angles for one more payday in the spring of 2014.

Hakeem Nicks was a no-show for Giants OTAs Wednesday.
Coach Tom Coughlin was steamed by Nicks' absence from the "voluntary" sessions. "He should be here," Coughlin said after professing ignorance as to why Nicks wasn't present. Recovering from a knee scope, Nicks wouldn't have been a full participant even if he showed. Going into the final year of his rookie contract, Nicks could be looking to avoid further injury, or perhaps signaling that the time to negotiate a new deal is now.
