Cowboys DE Jason Hatcher (calf) doesn't expect to play until Week 8 against the Eagles.
Hatcher came down with the injury in Week 3 after an impressive start in the first two games. Marcus Spears has played well enough in Hatcher's place that the Cowboys lead the NFL in run defense.

Cowboys DE Jason Hatcher (calf) has been declared out for Week 4.
Hatcher was never expected to suit up against the Lions after pulling up lame in Monday's win over the Redskins. Veteran Marcus Spears will start in his place. It's unclear if Hatcher will be ready to return following the Cowboys' Week 5 bye. Hatcher has been productive early on this season, notching eight tackles and two sacks.

Hatcher went down in the second quarter of Monday night's win over the Redskins and "could" be back when the Cowboys come out of their bye in Week 6. Marcus Spears projects as this week's starter, with Sean Lissemore backing him up.

Cowboys DE Jason Hatcher will undergo a Tuesday MRI on his calf after injuring it early in the second quarter in Week 3.
"It happened, but it’s one of those things you’ve got to come back from," said Hatcher. The emerging star spent a majority of the game with his lower left leg wrapped in ice and was limping noticeably afterwards.

Felix Jones is being limited at Cowboys OTAs due to recovery from offseason shoulder surgery.
The Cowboys expect Jones to be 100 percent by training camp. The contract-year tailback battled a right shoulder issue, a high ankle sprain, and a hamstring pull last season. He'll return as DeMarco Murray's change-of-pace back.

Cowboys rookie WR Danny Coale will undergo surgery on Thursday to repair a broken bone in his left foot.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, it's a broken fifth metatarsal that should keep Coale out a month. The Cowboys hope to have Coale on the field early in training camp, but the missed practice time will set the fifth-rounder back in his competition for the third receiver role. Andre Holmes, Kevin Ogletree, Dwayne Harris, and undrafted rookie Tim Benford are also vying for the job.
