Sam Bradford revealed that he has "lingering soreness" from last October's left high ankle sprain.
He's practicing fully in OTAs, but it's got to be concerning that the ankle woes have lasted so long. Bradford re-injured the ankle on several occasions last season, and he's not fully over the injury more than seven months later. "It's getting there," Bradford insisted. "It seems to feel better every week. There's less soreness, more things I can do. I think it's definitely on the right track."

After doing 2011 tape study, NFL Films' Greg Cosell observed that Sam Bradford struggled in a muddied pocket during his second season.
Cosell says there were signs of it during Bradford's rookie year, and it only got worse in his second. "Bradford began to perceive pressure that was not there," Cosell writes. "He was anticipating the rush, and you cannot perform that way, no matter what kind of talent you have throwing the football." Cosell believes receivers that can create separation and Bradford's own health will be key factors in determining whether he reaches his potential.

Coach Jeff Fisher says the Rams are giving Sam Bradford a free pass for last year's regression after Bradford was the NFL Rookie of the Year in 2010.
Bradford's production and performance went south across the board, but Fisher's mantra is to "delete" 2011 and look forward to 2012. "We discounted last year," Fisher said. "I didn’t pay much attention to that. There were a lot of difficult things to overcome and a lot of issues, and it made no sense dwelling on it. I think what Sam was able to do here his rookie year in that type of offense is an indication of the potential that he has."

According to rookie GM Les Snead, the Rams decided "early on" that they would stick with Sam Bradford at quarterback rather than trade Bradford when teams like the Browns came calling.
"I’ll be clear," said Snead. "We decided early on that Sam was our quarterback." Cleveland, where old Rams OC Pat Shurmur is now head coach, was known to have interest in Bradford. Snead conceded that he considered drafting Robert Griffin III with the second overall pick, but only to deal RG3 later on. Trading Bradford was never entertained. While the Rams' offense figures to go run-heavy to "protect" Bradford in 2012, he has a healthy amount of long-term job security.

Suspended
NFL suspended Rams rookie WR Austin Pettis four games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
Barring a successful appeal, the Rams' third-round pick will be suspended for the final two games of this season and the first two of 2012. St. Louis' starting slot receiver since Greg Salas went down Week 9, Pettis has averaged just 2.6 catches for 27.6 yards in six games. St. Louis doesn't have an obvious candidate to man the slot in Weeks 16 and 17, but it's possible KR Nick Miller could get a look. With both Danny Amendola and Salas expected to be 100 percent healthy for 2012 training camp, there's little reason to hold onto Pettis in dynasty leagues.

Hoomanawanui suffered the injury in mid-November. Assuming he takes the normal recovery path, he should be getting close to 100 percent just as training camp opens.
