Colts agreed to terms with CB Greg Toler, formerly of the Cardinals, to a three-year, $15 million contract.
The Colts are aggressively addressing needs, signing Toler and OT Gosder Cherilus, while pursuing pass-rusher Cliff Avril. Toler should be in the mix for a starting job, but the injury prone four-year veteran could eventually end up in the slot. He has five picks in 38 career games.

Updating a previous item, the Cardinals have not re-signed free agent CB Greg Toler.
Tim Ring of KTVK Phoenix withdrew his "report" after claiming he mixed up Toler's three-year deal with Rashad Johnson's. Toler remains in the mix for the Browns and Redskins. Per reliable Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, there's every reason to believe Toler will hit the open market Tuesday at 4PM ET.

Cardinals re-signed CB Greg Toler to a three-year contract.
Toler drew interest from the Redskins and Browns, but the Cardinals pegged he and S Rashad Johnson as their two biggest in-house priorities. Arizona locked up both players to three-year deals on Monday night. Toler, at 6-foot and 192 pounds, is a good fit for new defensive coordinator Todd Bowles' press-coverage system. We won't pencil him in as the starter opposite Patrick Peterson just yet, but he's certainly the best option right now.

The Washington Examiner's John Keim reports the Redskins have interest in free agent CB Greg Toler.
This is in addition to their Derek Cox interest. The cap-strapped Skins aren't positioned to spend big on free agents, but they will definitely sign at least one corner to replace DeAngelo Hall. Hall figures to be released by Tuesday. Another second- or third-wave free agent corner who might appeal to Washington is E.J. Biggers. Biggers played under Redskins DBs coach Raheem Morris in Tampa.

Colts placed RB Donald Brown (ankle) and FB Robert Hughes on season-ending injured reserve.
We suspected a high-ankle sprain after Brown was ruled out so quickly last week. The transaction is welcome news for the workload of Vick Ballard, who faces Houston's stout run defense in two of the next three weeks. The oft-injured Brown has missed multiple games in three of his four seasons with the Colts. While he's likely to be back with the team at a reasonable $1.705 million salary next season, Brown has fallen behind Ballard in the eyes of the organization. His Dynasty value is in the tank.

Delone Carter recently underwent shoulder surgery.
Carter tumbled down the depth chart last season, getting just 32 carries in 10 games before an ankle injury landed him on the inactive list. The extent of this surgery is unclear, but he won't have a good shot at carries this year either. Both Vick Ballard and Donald Brown are back.
