Colts waived OT Mike Tepper.
A sign that LG Joe Reitz (knee surgery) is finally ready to return. Signed in late October, Tepper had made the Colts' past four starts at left guard. He'll likely be signed back to the practice squad as long as he passes through waivers.

Colts re-signed OT Mike Tepper.
This is probably confirmation that LT Anthony Castonzo (ankle) will be out, and with starting RT Ryan Diem (ankle) questionable after missing practice this week the Colts line is a mess. Quinn Ojinnaka is the likely replacement if Diem can't go, while Tepper will be used as a swing tackle for depth purposes. Curtis Painter and Co. have been playing under these circumstances for weeks now.

Colts waived OT Mike Tepper.
Tepper was promoted from the practice squad last Monday. He wasn't active for Sunday's loss to the Chiefs even though the Colts were missing LT Anthony Castonzo and RG Ryan Diem. He should be signed back to the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Colts promoted OT Mike Tepper from their practice squad and waived S Jermale Hines.
Hines was just claimed off waivers from the Rams, and has practice squad eligibility remaining. Tepper will back up Jeff Linkenbach at right tackle. A former Cal Bear, Tepper went undrafted two Aprils ago.

Colts placed RB Donald Brown (ankle) and FB Robert Hughes on season-ending injured reserve.
We suspected a high-ankle sprain after Brown was ruled out so quickly last week. The transaction is welcome news for the workload of Vick Ballard, who faces Houston's stout run defense in two of the next three weeks. The oft-injured Brown has missed multiple games in three of his four seasons with the Colts. While he's likely to be back with the team at a reasonable $1.705 million salary next season, Brown has fallen behind Ballard in the eyes of the organization. His Dynasty value is in the tank.
