Rams waived DB Quinton Pointer.
Undersized but experienced at both safety and corner, Pointer was covering kicks in St. Louis. He's eligible to be re-signed to the practice squad.

Rams promoted S Quinton Pointer from the practice squad.
An undrafted free agent out of UNLV, Pointer appeared in one game earlier this season, making two tackles. The majority of his playing time should come on special teams.

Rams TE Lance Kendricks had his right knee scoped last month.
Kendricks was dealing with swelling in his knee and decided to have it cleaned out. The former second-round pick showed up on the injury report a couple of times last season with a knee injury, but he didn't miss a game. With Jared Cook in town, Kendricks is expected to focus on blocking in 2013. He's sitting out OTAs, but he should be ready for training camp.
