Jozef Stumpel scored one goal and added two assists in Slovakia's 6-0 win over Latvia Saturday night.
Stumpel’s multipoint night included his first points of the tournament. Michal Handzus finished with the same stat line, recording his first three points with a goal and two assists. Handzus, who plays for the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, and Stumpel, who played with the Kings from 1997-2002 and again in the 2003-04 season, tie Pavol Demitra for the team lead in points after round play. Zigmund Palffy, another former King, registered one assist for the surprising Slovakia team, who knocked off favourite Russia just two nights before beating Latvia. Sat, Feb 20, 2010 09:52:00 PM
