| Pos | Role | Name |
| C | 1 | Bryan Little ActiveBryan Little was on the ice Monday morning and will play against Ottawa. His status was considered uncertain after he was seen going in for X-rays following an apparent injury on Saturday. However, he appears to be alright to continue playing. Little has three goals in his past five games and 42 points over 67 contests this season. Mar 26 |
| 2 | Nik Antropov ActiveNik Antropov will not play in the World Hockey Championships for Kazakhstan. He has a hand injury that might require surgery and still is not over a knee injury which slowed him for the last month of the season. Apr 15 |
| 3 | Alexander Burmistrov ActiveAlexander Burmistrov's future with Winnipeg is still cloudy despite his agent denying claims that he has been offered a contract by a club in the KHL. There are reports that he is difficult to coach and that a year in the AHL may help him better develop his game. The 20-year-old forward has already played two seasons at the NHL level, so a demotion like that would probably not sit well if it happened. Burmistrov notched 13 goals and 15 assists in 76 games this past season. How he performs at training camp will likely decide how the Jets decide to deal with him. May 1 |
| 4 | Jim Slater ActiveJim Slater will represent the United States at the World Championship next month. He was limited to 36 games in 2010-11 due to a concussion, but skated in 78 contests with the Jets this past season en route to being named as the team's nominee for the Bill Masterton Trophy. Slater had a career-high 13 goals and 21 points in his first year in Winnipeg. Apr 11 |
| LW | 1 | Andrew Ladd ActiveAndrew Ladd will head to Zurich on Thursday and meet up with the rest of Team Canada in Switzerland for some exhibition games before the World Championships start on May 4th. The tournament begins for the Canadian squad against Slovakia and games will be held in Helskini and Stockholm. "I'm excited to play some more hockey for sure," Ladd said Wednesday. "It's fun to be playing hockey at this time of year. Obviously we came up short with what we were trying to do (with the Jets), but this is another opportunity to play and to win." He finished the year with 28 goals and 50 points in 82 games with Winnipeg. Apr 25 |
| 2 | Evander Kane ActiveEvander Kane, who is slated to be a restricted free agent this summer, enjoyed playing his first year in Winnipeg and is open to staying with the organization. "We're going to have see what happens and sit down and talk with my agent," he said when asked about contract talks. "That's why I pay them the big money. There's a lot going on with the new CBA and all that kind of stuff." Kane also spoke glowingly about playing at the MTS Centre this campaign. The 20-year-old winger produced a personal best 30 goals and 57 points in 74 games during the 2011-12 campaign, so the Jets probably want to lock him up for the foreseeable future. Apr 9 |
| 3 | Tanner Glass SidelinedTanner Glass sustained a broken foot in last Friday's game against Carolina. He won't play again this season. Glass concludes the year with five goals and 11 assists in 78 games, to go along with 246 hits and 73 penalty minutes. He is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. Apr 3 |
| 4 | Antti Miettinen ActiveAntti Miettinen potted another two-goal game on Monday to give him four markers in his past five games. He went 34 games without scoring a goal before notching two against Carolina on Mar. 18. Miettinen presently has 10 points in 39 contests since joining the Jets off waivers from Europe, so he shouldn't be on your fantasy radar. Mar 28 |
| RW | 1 | Blake Wheeler ActiveBlake Wheeler hasn't scored a goal in his past 11 games, but he contributed two more assists in Tuesday's comeback win over Florida. The helpers were his 45th and 46th of the season to give him 63 points in 78 contests. Wheeler has tallied seven assists during his goalless drought and he has remained upbeat despite sitting at 17 markers. "I'm going to play the same way I've been playing," he said prior to Tuesday's match against Florida. "Pretty much every game I've had four, five or six shots. You go through stretches where it just doesn't seem to go in the net. I don't think I'm doing anything differently. There were a couple games I wasn't happy with in that stretch, and from there I've picked it up. I'm trying to finish strong. It's going to be a long summer, so you want to go into it knowing that you left everything on the table." Apr 4 |
| 2 | Kyle Wellwood SidelinedKyle Wellwood broke his left foot during Saturday's game. With so little time left in the season, that means that Wellwood's 2011-12 campaign is over. He had 18 goals and 47 points in 77 games this season. Apr 2 |
| 3 | Tim Stapleton ActiveWinnipeg Jets forward Tim Stapleton says he and his teammates will have fun tonight against the Tampa Bay Lightning's Steven Stamkos, who will be aiming for his 60th goal of the season. "With Stamkos coming in trying to get his 60th, that’s going to be pretty fun to watch, too," Stapleton said. "We owe it to the fans to come out and play our best."Winnipeg is on a three-game home losing streak for the first time this season. Apr 7 |
| 4 | Chris Thorburn ActiveChris Thorburn returned to action Saturday against Tampa. He had missed the last three weeks with a lower-lower body injury but was able to fulfill his role as a fourth liner against the Lightning Saturday. Needless to say, Thorburn has no fantasy value. Apr 1 |
| 5 | Eric Fehr SidelinedEric Fehr, who has missed the last six games with an upper-body injury, has no timetable for his return to the lineup. Coach Claude Noel said that Fehr underwent more tests on Tuesday, but his status remains cloudy. The Jets have only five games remaining on their regular-season schedule. Mar 29 |
| D | 1 | Dustin Byfuglien ActiveDustin Byfuglien is scheduled to have his boating charges decided by a jury trial on July 23. The Winnipeg blueliner is facing charges for boating while intoxicated, for initially refusing to take a blood or urine test, for boating without enough flotation devices and for boating without navigation lights. The incident in question occurred last Aug. 31 on Lake Minnetonka in Minnesota. Apr 19 |
| 2 | Tobias Enstrom ActiveTobias Enstrom scored his fifth goal of the season and added an assist in the Jets 5-3 loss to the Calgary Flames. Enstrom hasn't been as good as last season, where he put up 51 points, but he has been an adequate fantasy performer when he has been in the line-up. He isn't much of a goal scorer, good for 6-12 goals a season, but he is a brilliant playmaker that sees the ice extremely well. He is one of the best fantasy defensemen in the NHL when healthy, but this season hasn't been a good example of that. Mar 10 |
| 3 | Ron Hainsey SidelinedRon Hainsey's status for Thursday's game on Long Island is unclear after he blocked a shot off his foot during Tuesday's match with Florida. The defenseman wasn't able to stay in the game and coach Claude Noel didn't know the X-ray results afterward. Consider him questionable for the time being. Apr 5 |
| 4 | Zach Bogosian ActiveZach Bogosian had three assists in a 4-3 overtime win Friday night. Kyle Wellwood netted his 17th goal and registered his 29th assist of the season. Nik Antropov, Jim Slater, and Andrew Ladd each scored a goal for the Jets. Mar 30 |
| 5 | Randy Jones SidelinedRandy Jones (personal) and Ron Hainsey (lower body) won't play Thursday. Mark Flood and Grant Clitsome will suit up in their respective places on the back end for the Jets. Apr 5 |
| 6 | Mark Stuart ActiveMark Stuart has been announced the winner of the Dan Snyder Memorial Award, which goes to the Jets player who embodies perseverance, dedication and hard work without reward or recognition, so that his team and teammates may succeed. The award was carried over from the Atlanta Thrashers and named after former NHLer Dan Snyder, who died in a car crash in 2003. Stuart was given the honor prior to Saturday's game versus Tampa Bay. The Winnipeg blueliner finished the 2011-12 campaign tied for eighth in the league with 182 blocked shots. Stuart also had 14 points and 98 penalty minutes in 80 games. Apr 8 |
| 7 | Grant Clitsome ActiveGrant Clitsome is expected to dress on Wednesday. He has watched the last three games as a healthy scratch. Clitsome has two assists and a minus-3 rating in six appearances with the Jets since being claimed off waivers from Columbus at the end of February. Mar 28 |
| 8 | Mark Flood ActiveMark Flood (flu) isn't expected to play Saturday. Flood has three goals and six points in 24 games this season. He doesn't have any fantasy value in standard leagues. Jan 14 |
| G | 1 | Ondrej Pavelec ActiveOndrej Pavelec is not overly enthusiastic about playing for the Czech Republic in the upcoming World Hockey Championships. He is tired after starting in 68 games this season. The Czech head coach seemed to be under the impression that the Jets were putting pressure on Pavelec not to play, but that is not the case. Jet management is fully supportive of Pavelec's participation. It will be interesting to see if the Czech Hockey Federation will be able to put enough pressure on Pavelec to get him to play. Stay tuned. Apr 15 |
| 2 | Chris Mason ActiveChris Mason was saddled with the loss Thursday night against the New York Islanders. A year ago, Mason was the ideal veteran netminder to have on board for the Thrahers. At the start of training camp, he was a year removed from leading the Blues into the playoffs, and was solid in the starting role the season prior. Unfortunately, his game fell apart last season with Atlanta, and at age 35 the temptation is to say he's fallen off a cliff. There's only a select few goalies 35-years-old and up who can still hold their own until they get pushed aside. He probably shouldn't be starting on anyone's fantasy roster. Apr 5 |
