Jeff Skinner will be a key player if the Hurricanes are going to make a run at a playoff spot in the 2015-2016 season.
Skinner is a two-time 30-goal scorer who dropped to just 18 goals and 31 points with a minus 24 rating in 77 games played last year. He is still only 24-years-old and has plenty of time to reach his potential but needs to bounce back. Carolina’s head coach, Bill Peters agrees: "We need Jeff Skinner to have a bounce-back year, he's an offensive guy; he's proven he can score at the NHL level. We need to get him back to being a consistent 25-to-30-goal scorer." If Skinner is able to rebound, the ‘Canes could prove to be a much tougher team to compete against. Aug 9 - 1:55 PM
