Chicago missing the playoffs isn't going to result in changes at the management level this summer.
Blackhawks president John McDonough said that both GM Stan Bowman and head coach Joel Quenneville will remain with the team for the 2018-19 campaign. Bowman and Quenneville did lead the Blackhawks to three Stanley Cup championships over a six-year span, so it's not hard to see why the Blackhawks are reluctant to get rid of either of them. At the same time, Chicago suffered back-to-back first round exits and then missed the playoffs entirely this season, so the Blackhawks glory years are getting further and further behind them. Of course, some would be inclined to give the Blackhawks a pass for their failure this season because of how much time starting goaltender Corey Crawford has missed and it's certainly true that his absence has been a big deal given how poorly the Blackhawks' alternatives in goal have done.
