Steelers LCB Joe Haden (hamstring) is expected to return in Week 3.

Haden missed Week 2, and Pittsburgh's secondary was shredded by Patrick Mahomes for six touchdown passes. As RCB Artie Burns has also played at less than 100 percent and Haden fill-in Cameron Sutton got benched last week, Haden's return is much needed against Ryan Fitzpatrick's white-hot Bucs passing attack.

Russell Wilson (hamstring) is practicing in full for Week 3 against the Cowboys.

This injury isn't a concern, but it's another reason to shy away from Wilson in Week 3. Wilson has 524 yards and a 5:3 TD/INT ratio through the first two games.
Sep 19 - 7:46 PM

Doug Baldwin (knee) remained sidelined at Wednesday's practice.

Baldwin was unavailable for Monday night's game in Chicago and is almost certain to miss Week 3 against Dallas. Tyler Lockett and Brandon Marshall will continue to lead the Seahawks' pass-catching corps in his absence.

Ryan Tannehill is listed on the Week 3 injury report with knee and ankle injuries.

He's practicing in full, but it's notable with Tannehill's ACL history. Tannehill has played better than expected to open the year, though it's come against two of the league's worst defenses. He's not on the Week 3 streaming radar.

DeVante Parker (finger) is practicing in full for Week 3 against the Raiders.

Parker is over his broken finger, but it remains to be seen whether he plays after essentially being a healthy scratch in Week 2. Even before his injury, the former first-round pick was reportedly having a rough summer. So far Kenny Stills, Albert Wilson and Danny Amendola have been working as the Dolphins' lead receivers.

Kenyan Drake (abdomen) is practicing in full for Week 3 against the Raiders.

His abdomen injury appears to be extremely minor. Drake found the end zone in last week's win over the Jets, but still ceded 10 touches to veteran Frank Gore. While Gore's involvement remains a concern, Drake should still be a worthwhile RB2 this week going against a Raiders defense that just yielded 168 rushing yards to Denver.
Sep 19 - 7:20 PM

Marshawn Lynch (shoulder) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

It's the same routine Lynch went through last week. He'll likely be upgraded to full Thursday. Lynch isn't in any danger of sitting out Week 3.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Antonio Brown was disciplined for missing a team meeting on Monday.

"He and I met yesterday for an extended period of time," said Tomlin. "I'll leave the nature of that conversation between us. There was discipline involved for his missed meeting on Monday." It's been an eventful week for Brown, who got into it with OC Randy Fichtner on the sidelines in Sunday's loss to Kansas City, then tweeted "Trade me, let's find out" in response to a Twitter troll. Brown is clearly frustrated and obviously so is Tomlin, though there's been no indication that AB will be benched for Week 3 against Tampa Bay. With Brown upset and Le'Veon Bell still MIA, Pittsburgh's locker room has seen better days.

Seahawks MLB Bobby Wagner (groin) is expected to return in Week 3.

It's good news after Wagner was an early rule out last week. Coach Pete Carroll also hopes to get CB Tre Flowers (hamstring) back. The Seahawks have had multiple injuries on their defense to open the year, but are finally starting to get healthy.

49ers SS Jaquiski Tartt (shoulder) didn't practice on Wednesday.

He suffered the injury in last week's win over Detroit. It's too early to determine his status for Week 3, but if Tartt ends up sitting Sunday at Kansas City, Antone Exum would slide in at safety opposite Adrian Colbert.
Sep 19 - 6:50 PM

Antonio Gates (illness) didn't practice on Wednesday.

Gates is feeling a little under the weather, but he should be fine for Sunday's showdown against the Rams. The 38-year-old has been a non-factor with just two catches for 16 yards through his first two games.
Sep 19 - 6:47 PM

Melvin Gordon (neck) is practicing in full for Week 3 against the Rams.

Gordon suffered the injury late in Sunday's win at Buffalo, though obviously it was nothing serious. Coming off last week's three-touchdown performance, Gordon belongs in the RB1 discussion for Week 3, even in a tough matchup against the 2-0 Rams.

The Ravens were fined $200,000 for violations of the Coach-to-Player Communications Policy during the preseason.

Baltimore had multiple players wearing helmets with access to playcalls. It's not a good look after the Ravens lost their final two OTA sessions for undisclosed CBA infractions. The Ravens released a statement that their equipment staff "misunderstood the rules." There shouldn't be any further discipline from the league.

Saints coach Sean Payton plans to get Tre'Quan Smith more touches.

"We've got to find ways to get him more touches. He's handling our installation. And I think he's ready to prove that," Payton told reporters at Wednesday's media session. Smith got the start over Austin Carr last week, but played only 36 percent of snaps. That should rise with Ted Ginn battling a knee injury and Carr a non-factor. Smith's grasp of the playbook limited him the first two games, but he has impact potential now that he's playing in three-wide sets.

Texans coach Bill O'Brien said the team will consider shifting DB Kareem Jackson between cornerback and safety throughout the season.

A cornerback by trade, Jackson shifted to safety this year but moved back to corner after Kevin Johnson went down with a concussion in Week 1. However, O'Brien plans on using Jackson wherever he fits best, which could change on a week-to-week basis. "I think we have to think about that every week," said O'Brien. "He's one of our more versatile players on defense and he's a smart player, so it's easy to take him and say, 'Hey, you're a corner, you're a nickel, you're a safety.'" Jackson has had a good year so far, recording 14 tackles and two forced fumbles over 131 defensive snaps.
