Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said K.J. Wright (knee) "has a shot" to play Week 16 against the Chiefs.

Wright has been out since Week 10 because of his troublesome knee. Carroll said the linebacker will return to practice this week, and he could show enough to play on Sunday night. It would be perfect timing for the Seahawks with Kansas City's potent offense coming to town.

Rams coach Sean McVay said Todd Gurley will get his knee checked out this week.

Gurley missed a second half series with his knee issue, but it didn't look to be anything structural. It's a good sign Gurley played through the injury, though he mostly lined him up as a wideout and didn't appear 100 percent. The Rams are hoping Gurley is only dealing with a contusion. We'll have an update on Gurley no later than Wednesday.

Dolphins coach Adam Gase said Kenyan Drake's limited role has nothing to do with an injury.

Even with Frank Gore sidelined most of the game, Drake touched the ball four times against the Vikings as the Dolphins used Kalen Ballage as their primary back. There was some thought Drake's lingering shoulder injury was to blame for the usage, but that is apparently not a factor. Gase has to be commended for getting the Dolphins to out-pace their win expectation year after year, but he has consistently mishandled key skill players over the last three seasons. With his role likely to remain limited, Drake is not a fantasy option for Week 16.

Texans coach Bill O'Brien said Keke Coutee (hamstring) remains day to day.

It is the kind of non-answer we have come to expect about Coutee, who has been a "game-time decision" for the better part of a month. Even if he is active this week, Coutee will not be a fantasy option.
Dec 17 - 12:46 PM

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said LB Jordan Hicks (calf) is expected to resume practicing this week.

Hicks has been sidelined since Week 11 because of a calf injury. An impact player on defense, Hicks' return would be a boost as the Eagles attempt to make a playoff push.
Dec 17 - 12:44 PM

Texans coach Bill O'Brien said D'Onta Foreman "could" be active Week 16 against the Eagles.

Foreman has been inactive the last two games after being activated from the PUP list earlier this month. O'Brien has hemmed and hawed about Foreman to the press all year, so there is no reason to expect a straight answer at this point. That said, Houston's hand could be forced with Lamar Miller dealing with an ankle injury. That uncertainty makes Foreman a desperation waiver add for the fantasy finals.

Darren Sproles played 20-of-64 snaps (31 percent) Week 15 against the Rams.

Sproles had a pair of 10-plus yard runs in the first half, but he finished with just 46 yards on six touches. This was his best game since returning in Week 13. Sproles and Wendell Smallwood played in a near-even timeshare with Josh Adams, but Sproles has a more defined role than Smallwood going forward. Even in what projects as a pass heavy gamescipt, Sproles isn't a FLEX option for Week 16's matchup with Houston.
Dec 17 - 12:30 PM

Wendell Smallwood played 20-of-64 snaps (31 percent) Week 15 against the Rams.

Josh Adams played 24 snaps. Smallwood also saw just five fewer carries, but that was partly due to a back injury that sidelined Adams. The Eagles had been featuring Adams as a workhorse, but Smallwood's two touchdown night should get him a few more touches going forward.

Giants coach Pat Shurmur announced Eli Manning will start Week 16 against the Colts.

"Eli playing QB I think gues us the best chance to win," Shurmur said when asked about the possibility of using rookie Kyle Lauletta, who was a healthy scratch against the Titans. Shurmur added he believes Manning has "years" left and he wants the quarterback to return next season. If he values his job security, Shurmur should hope the Giants have other plans.
Dec 17 - 12:20 PM

Giants coach Pat Shurmur is "hopeful" Odell Beckham (quad) will play this week.

Shurmur said Beckham's quad injury is improving, and there are no plans to shut down the receiver. That said, there is no reason for the Giants to rush Beckham back now that they are out of the playoff hunt. His status will hopefully become more clear after Wednesday's practice.
Dec 17 - 12:17 PM

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said the Eagles are not putting Carson Wentz (back) on injured reserve, but Nick Foles will start in Week 16.

Pederson said new information about Wentz's injury was positive and he now considers the quarterback "week to week." It is possible the Eagles would have sent Wentz to injured reserve if they lost to the Rams on Sunday night, but that surprise win keeps them squarely in the playoff hunt. Wentz would likely return if they are able to make the postseason or have a real shot at a berth in Week 17, but that seems like the only way he is back on the field this season.
Dec 17 - 12:10 PM

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said Nick Foles will start Week 16, but the Eagles are not yet sending Carson Wentz (back) to injured reserve.

Foles kept Philly in the playoff hunt with a surprising win over the Rams on Sunday night, and he will get another chance for a big win this week against the Texans. If the Eagles are able to win that game, it is possible they bring back Wentz for the season finale against Washington and a potential playoff run. Short of that, Foles should start the rest of the way.
Dec 17 - 12:08 PM

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Frank Gore (foot) is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Gore is reportedly dealing with a sprained foot. The injury will snap Gore's insane streak of 126 straight regular season games, a run which goes back to 2011. It also could mark the end of the 35-year-old's (36 in May) career, although Gore has not ruled out playing another season. Gore finishes this season with 722 rushing yards, 12 catches for 124 yards, and one total touchdown.
Dec 17 - 12:06 PM

DeVante Parker played 19-of-53 snaps (36 percent) Week 15 against the Vikings.

He was only targeted once and actually played fewer snaps than Brice Butler. As the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson surmised, Parker is almost certainly coming to the end of his time with the Dolphins. The former first-rounder is owed a non-guaranteed $9.4 million as part of his fifth-year option next season.
Dec 17 - 11:35 AM

Golden Tate played 22-of-64 snaps (34 percent) Sunday night against the Rams.

It is his second game in a row playing fewer than 40 percent of the snaps, and he played just 48 percent in Week 12. On Sunday night, Tate played 17 fewer snaps than No. 2 tight end Dallas Goedert. Despite his declining snap totals, Tate has surprisingly managed to catch seven and five passes in two of the last three games, but his one for seven showing against the Cowboys demonstrates his lowered floor.
