According to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com, White Sox general manager Rick Hahn said Monday that the club has received some trade inquiries regarding Jose Abreu and Avisail Garcia.
Hahn isn't sure if the inquiries will lead anywhere, but he's open-minded as the club continues their rebuild. "We have to listen," explained Hahn. "We have to explore. We're still in the same spot that we were a year ago, in that we're focused on the long term." Abreu and Garcia make for attractive trade chips, as they both had big years in 2017 and have two years of team control remaining. Abreu batted .304/.354/.552 with 33 homers and 102 RBI over 156 games this season while Garcia broke out by hitting .330 with 18 homers and an .885 OPS in 136 games. Nov 13 - 9:59 PM

Todd Frazier (flu) remains sidelined for Tuesday's game against the Yankees.

It will be his third straight game out of the lineup, as he just can't seem to shake the flu. Yolmer Sanchez will start at third base Tuesday while Matt Davidson plays first base. Jose Abreu will serve as the DH.

According to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe, the White Sox have received "due diligence" calls on Todd Frazier.

Teams have put out feelers for Frazier but teammate Jose Abreu seems to be drawing more interest. Cafardo speculates that Frazier's impending free agency (he'll hit the market after next season) could be holding teams back from pursuing him. Frazier enjoyed a career year in 2016, slugging 40 homers and 98 RBI to go with 15 stolen bases.

A rival executive told MLB Network's Jon Morosi that the White Sox are more likely to trade Adam Eaton than Jose Abreu at the winter meetings.

The White Sox seem to be in the mode of listening to trade offers for virtually anyone on their roster, but it's not surprising that Eaton appears likelier than Abreu to be dealt. The outfielder should be able to fetch a nice return, as he's a career .284/.357/.414 hitter and is under team control for just $38.4 million through 2021.
