Jimmy Butler sat out the final 14 minutes of Wednesday's season-ending loss because of "knee soreness," according to coach Tom Thibodeau.
Butler returned from right knee surgery on Apr. 6 and had just three regular-season games to prepare for the playoffs. He finished the Wolves' 4-1 series loss with averages of 15.8 points, 1.6 triples, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 0.8 steals and a mere 1.0 turnovers in 34.0 minutes. We'll assume the soreness is within the normal bounds for a player returning from surgery, but will keep an eye on him as Minnesota conducts exit interviews. Apr 26 - 12:51 AM

Nemanja Bjelica had another rough night on Sunday, playing 26 minutes to finish with seven points on 2-of-7 shooting, five rebounds, two steals and one assist.

Bjelica added one 3-pointer with 2-of-2 free throws, so it could have been worse, but fantasy owners should have moved on by now. He's scored double-digit points just three times in the past nine games, and with Jimmy Butler (knee) nearing a return the clock is ticking for his starting job.

Aaron Brooks (illness) is expected to be available on Thursday vs. Milwaukee.

Even with Jeff Teague (knee) out, Brooks isn't guaranteed to play. Look for Tyus Jones, Jamal Crawford, and even Jimmy Butler to spend time handling the rock.

Jeff Teague (Achilles) and Nemanja Bjelica (foot) will go through their pregame routines before a decision is made on their playing status for Tuesday's game against the Wizards.

Knowing Tom Thibodeau, we likely won't have official word on either of these guys until just prior to tip-off, but if Teague is forced to the sidelines, that would grant Tyus Jones another opportunity to start and Jimmy Butler would see some increased playmaking opportunities. Bjelica's absence would open up some minutes for Gorgui Dieng and Shabazz Muhammad, but they wouldn't play enough to make a meaningful impact in most leagues.

Jeff Teague (Achilles) and Nemanja Bjelica (foot) are being listed as game-time decisions in the game notes for Tuesday's matchup with the Wizards.

First things first, this report is stemming from the game notes which are notoriously unreliable, and even worse coming from a reporter from a Wizards' reporter, so we wouldn't read too much into the game-time designation. Owners can expect to get another update following Tuesday morning's shootaround, but if Teague does indeed need to spend one more game on the sidelines, Tyus Jones would essentially be a must-play guy in DFS and Jimmy Butler would run the offense more.

Tyus Jones will move into the starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Suns, with Jeff Teague (Achilles) unavailable.

Jones looked great in 30 minutes off the bench on Friday night sans Teague, putting up eight points, six rebounds, six assists, four steals, two triples and three turnovers, so he'll be a popular DFS play today in his first career start. Jimmy Butler, Andrew Wiggins, Taj Gibson and Karl-Anthony Towns will join Jones in the starting five today, and Butler should see some increased playmaking opportunities with Teague watching from the sidelines.

Jeff Teague hit 7-of-18 shots and a 3-pointer for 18 points, two rebounds, two assists, three steals and three blocks in Monday's 118-102 loss to Charlotte.

The steals and blocks were outstanding and Teague's having a fine season for the Wolves. In fact, he's stealing some of Jimmy Butler's thunder, as Butler had just 14 points, seven boards, a steal and a 3-pointer tonight.

Shabazz Muhammad made another fill-in start on Wednesday but had just four points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 29 minutes.

Minnesota was destroyed in transition on Tuesday and the Pistons did it again tonight, outscoring the Wolves 24-0 on fastbreak points. Muhammad scored 14 points in his first start but he went just 1-of-9 from the field tonight, and he's nothing more than a DFS punt play if Butler misses more games.

Dwyane Wade and the Bulls are "expected to reach a buyout agreement at some point in the next few months," according to ESPN's Nick Friedell.

Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg said in early July that he didn't expect Wade to be bought out this summer, but that doesn't rule out an early-season maneuver. Chicago is rebuilding after trading Jimmy Butler to the Wolves, and Zach LaVine is the franchise's SG of the future, so it wouldn't be shocking to see Wade hit free agency after a buyout in the coming months.

Jeff Teague has reportedly agreed to a three-year, $57 million deal with the Timberwolves.

The Wolves sent Ricky Rubio to the Jazz earlier in the day, in exchange for a protected pick, so they were clearly targeting a starting-caliber PG to pair with Jimmy Butler, Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns. Teague's usage rate could dip in such a loaded offense, but he's still likely to return mid-round fantasy value.

Bulls acquire G Kris Dunn from the Minnesota Timberwolves as part of the Jimmy Butler blockbuster.

The entire deal will see Dunn, Zach LaVine and the No. 7 pick sent to Chicago in exchange for Jimmy Butler and the No. 16 overall selection. Dunn should immediately get a chance to start in Chicago, where there is no long-term answer in place at the point guard position. The rebuild has officially begun in the Windy City.

Zach LaVine will reportedly head to Chicago as part of the trade sending Jimmy Butler to the Wolves.

Kris Dunn and the No. 7 pick in the draft are also headed to Chicago, as coach Tom Thibodeau pulled off a major deal to land Butler, whom he's been interested in since taking over in Minnesota. LaVine should have a massive role once he's fully recovered from ACL surgery, filling in the void left by Butler on the wing. LaVine's fit alongside Dwyane Wade will be interesting, but from a fantasy perspective he should still pull down mid-round value once at full strength.

The Bulls are reportedly prepared to offer Milos Teodosic a multi-year, big-money deal this offseason.

Teodosic has an offer on the table from CSKA Moscow for $12 million over three years, but the Bulls are reportedly willing to give him substantially more money in order to lure him away from Europe. Teodosic is easily the most talented point guard not currently playing in the NBA, but it is rather strange to see the Chicago franchise interested in signing the 30-year-old PG considering they're hinting at a rebuild by fielding offers for Jimmy Butler. It'll be interesting to see how this one plays out.

The Cavs are reportedly exploring the trade market for Iman Shumpert and Channing Frye.

The Cavs are reportedly currently engaged with teams around the league to bring in either Paul George or Jimmy Butler, but should a trade like that go through, Kevin Love would almost assuredly need to be included. The current rumors going around the league would hint that we could see a blockbuster deal go down on draft night.
