Joel Embiid had a career night against the Lakers during a 115-109 victory on Wednesday, scoring a career-high 46 points with 15 rebounds, seven assists, seven blocks, two turnovers and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes.
He was 14-of-20 from the field and 16-of-19 from the line to give him a ridiculous 81.1 TS% on his 35.8 usage rate. Embiid became the first NBA player to post at least 45 points, 15 boards, seven assists and seven blocks in a game since blocks became an official stat in 1973-74. Fantasy wise, his 93.5 fantasy points are the most this season, and he's not even all the way back yet. After the game, he said he was at about 69 percent of what he's capable of doing, so his fantasy owners should have some very, very nice lines coming their way. As always, Trust The Process. Dario Saric will remain in the starting five for Monday's game against the Rockets, with J.J. Redick (back) unavailable.

Saric played well through 30 minutes as a starter on Saturday, posting 12 points, one board, three dimes, one steal and four triples, so feel free to get him active. Joining Saric in the starting five will be Jerryd Bayless, Ben Simmons, Robert Covington and Joel Embiid.
Oct 30 - 6:40 PM

Richaun Holmes (left wrist fracture) underwent a scheduled reevaluation has been cleared to participate in practice with limitations.

The is a step in the right direction for Holmes, but the Sixers press release confirms he will miss at least the next three games and will be reevaluated next Thursday. If the Sixers are unable to trade Jahlil Okafor, their frontcourt will be extremely crowded once Holmes is ready to play. When Holmes is active, the Sixers will have four capable centers on their roster, with Holmes, Okafor and Amir Johnson backing up Joel Embiid.
Oct 28 - 9:17 AM

Jerryd Bayless will be in the starting lineup for Wednesday's season opener against Washington.

Joining Bayless in the starting five for tonight's game will be Ben Simmons, J.J. Redick, Robert Covington and Joel Embiid. Bayless will likely remain in the starting lineup until Markelle Fultz (shoulder) is fully up to speed, but it's tough to see him earning enough minutes to make a difference in most leagues.
Oct 18 - 11:28 AM

Jerryd Bayless will likely be in the starting lineup for Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Wizards.

The 76ers will initially be bringing Markelle Fultz off the bench as he recovers from his shoulder issues, so it looks like Philly will be going with a starting five featuring Ben Simmons, Bayless, J.J. Redick, Robert Covington and Joel Embiid on opening night with Fultz and Dario Saric working with the second unit. Bayless probably won't be receiving many minutes as a starter, though, so he's not a great target in most settings.
Oct 16 - 3:01 PM

76ers coach Brett Brown said that Dario Saric could earn minutes at center in the wake of Richaun Holmes' left wrist fracture.

Holmes is out for at least three weeks, at which point he'll be re-evaluated. In his absence, Brown said that "[Jahlil Okafor] might reap some benefits of some open space ... we might even look at some Dario at [center]." Amir Johnson should also be in the mix for center minutes, although Brown noted that the frontcourt rotation hinges on the availability of Joel Embiid (knee).
Oct 9 - 12:55 AM

Brett Brown said he sees Robert Covington "starting and ending" games for the 76ers this season.

The 76ers will likely be rolling out a starting five of Markelle Fultz, J.J. Redick, Covington, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid (knee) when the 2017-18 season begins, with Dario Saric being used in a sixth man type role. Covington should be able to score at a more efficient rate this season with the improved offense around him, and it sounds like he'll still be a significant part of the rotation, so he could turn out to be one of the better value picks towards the middle rounds on draft day.
Sep 20 - 2:00 PM

Richaun Holmes chipped in 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting in 26 bench minutes during Wednesday's road loss in Miami, adding six rebounds, one steal and one block.

The biggest news for Holmes today was the Sixers' decision to shut down Joel Embiid (knee) for the season. That leaves Holmes with a steady role even if he's backing up Jahlil Okafor at center, and he's a strong pickup for help with boards, FG percentage and defensive stats -- he's blocked 11 shots in his past four games alone.
Mar 1 - 11:39 PM

Jahlil Okafor wasn't traded on Thursday and he'll remain in Philly past the deadline.

Well, that's awkward. The Sixers dealt Nerlens Noel to Dallas but couldn't find a suitable offer for Okafor, who was one of the most glaring trade candidates this season -- Philly went so far as to sideline while conducting trade talks in recent weeks. Okafor has some fantasy appeal with Joel Embiid (knee) expected to miss at least four games, but Embiid's eventual return looms over Okafor's rest-of-season outlook.
Feb 23 - 3:32 PM

Nerlens Noel had another productive game vs. Boston on Wednesday with 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Noel made 7-of-10 FGs and 2-of-2 FTs in 31 minutes and he's been terrific as a starter lately -- his play had helped Philly earn a three-game win streak that was snapped tonight. With Jahlil Okafor on the trade block, Joel Embiid recovering from a "very minor" tear in his meniscus, Noel's post-break outlook is as bright as it's been all season.
Feb 15 - 10:38 PM

Nikola Jokic will replace Joel Embiid (knee) in the Skills Challenge at All-Star weekend.

Jokic will also be competing the Rising Stars Challenge, so he'll be busy at All-Star weekend, a trend that will likely continue for a very long time. Jokic has been a top-25 guy on the year, and over the past month, he's established himself as a first-round stud in standard 9-cat leagues. The sluggish start to the season is now a distant memory for The Joker.
Feb 15 - 11:45 AM

Richaun Holmes (illness) is questionable to play Wednesday vs. the Spurs.

Joel Embiid (knee) has already been ruled out for Wednesday's game, so Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel will get all the center minutes tonight if Holmes can't give it a go. Okafor could be earning the majority of the five-man minutes tonight as Philly looks to showcase him for a trade, but with a tough matchup against San Antonio, he makes for a risky DFS target.
Feb 8 - 11:51 AM

Nerlens Noel shifted to the bench on Monday and had only five points and five rebounds in 16 minutes during a 113-96 loss in Detroit.

Noel provided his fantasy owners zero assists, steals or blocks. There's reason for optimism, however, since Jahlil Okafor (knee) may only have started tonight to bolster his trade appeal -- he's reportedly on the block, with the Pelicans and other teams in the mix to acquire him. If you've owned Noel for any stretch of time this season, you already know that patience is necessary.
Feb 6 - 11:17 PM

Jahlil Okafor (knee) practiced on Sunday.

Okafor sat out Saturday's loss to the Heat with the knee issue, but him getting through Sunday's practice is a good indication regarding his status for Monday's game. Owners can expect to get another update following Monday morning's shootaround, but with Joel Embiid (knee) already being ruled out for Monday, there will be plenty of minutes available for Nerlens Noel and Richaun Homles if Okafor is forced to the sidelines on Monday.
Feb 5 - 3:22 PM

Jahlil Okafor will earn another start on Wednesday vs. the Mavericks with Joel Embiid (knee) unavailable.

Okafor will be splitting time at the five-spot with Nerlens Noel, and while he'll be drawing the start, Noel makes for the more attractive fantasy target due to his defensive upside. Okafor isn't much more than a low-end streamer in deep leagues.
Feb 1 - 1:26 PM

Robert Covington (right hand contusion) and Joel Embiid (knee) will not play Wednesday vs. the Mavericks.

Brown described Covington's absence from Wednesday's game as precautionary, saying he just wants him to finish the pre-All-Star stretch strong, and the 76ers will be listing him as day-to-day moving forward. Dario Saric may be able to return to the starting five with RoCo on the sidelines, and if that's the case, he'd make sense as a streamer or DFS punt play. Jahlil Okafor will be starting for Embiid, and he'll likely find playing time in the mid-20s.
Feb 1 - 1:16 PM

Jahlil Okafor (knee) will move into the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Kings, sending Nerlens Noel back to the bench.

Joel Embiid (knee) will not play on Monday, and he's being listed as doubtful for the next two, so it looks like Okafor is finally going to get back into the rotation after picking up a series of DNP-CDs. As a starter this season, Okafor owns averages of 13.4 points, 5.6 boards, 1.1 blocks and 1.8 turnovers per game, so he's not all that exciting of a fantasy target despite the increased opportunity. Brown described the lineup switch as a matchup-based decision, so Okafor might be going back to the bench on Wednesday in Dallas.
Jan 30 - 4:32 PM

Nerlens Noel started Sunday's game in place of Joel Embiid (knee), finishing with 12 points on 6-of-11 shooting, six rebounds, two assists, two steals, three blocks and zero turnovers in just 25 minutes.

Noel has thrived in games without Embiid this season. In three starts, he's now averaging 15.7 points on 19-of-30 shooting, 9.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.7 steals, 2.3 blocks, and only 0.7 turnovers. He's even made 9-of-9 free throws in those games, and his upside has been on full display. Unfortunately, it will likely take a trade or an injury to turn him loose rest-of-season.
Jan 29 - 9:51 PM

Nerlens Noel will start on Sunday vs. the Bulls.

Joel Embiid is resting and Jahlil Okafor (knee) is a game-time call, so Noel looks like a strong play in all formats. In two previous starts this season, Noel has posted averages of 17.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.5 steals in 28.5 minutes. Expect him to return to the bench on Monday vs. the Kings with Embiid back in the lineup.
Jan 29 - 12:08 PM

Nerlens Noel will remain in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Bucks, with both Joel Embiid (knee) and Jahlil Okafor (knee) unavailable.

Noel was fantastic as Philly's starting center during Tuesday's upset win over the Clippers, producing 19 points, eight boards, five dimes, two steals, three swats and just one turnover in 29 minutes of action, so he's obviously a must-start guy tonight and is worthy of consideration in daily leagues. Richaun Holmes should also see roughly 20 minutes off the bench, but he's not worth much more than a punt in DFS.
Jan 25 - 11:05 AM

Jahlil Okafor (knee) and Joel Embiid (knee) have been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Bucks.

Both Okafor and Embiid remained in Philly to continue to rehab, but they're hopeful to return to action Friday vs. Houston. With Okafor and Embiid out on Wednesday night, Nerlens Noel figures to flirt with close to 30 minutes in another start with Richaun Holmes seeing around 20 minutes off the bench. Noel is the preferred fantasy target here.
