Playing in relief of Josh Allen, Nathan Peterman completed 6-of-12 passes for 61 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the Bills' Week 6 loss to the Texans.
Things started well for Peterman. Following a Texans fumble, Peterman led a touchdown drive he capped with a nice throw to Zay Jones in the back corner of the end zone to give the Bills the lead. It went downhill from there, however. After the Texans tied the game with under two minutes left, Peterman threw a horrific pick-six which gave Houston the lead. He followed that up with another bad interception on the next drive to end the game. If Allen is forced to miss time, Buffalo probably would be suited going with newly-signed Derek Anderson next week against the Colts. Oct 14 - 3:59 PM

First-round pick Josh Allen has been named the Bills' Week 2 starter against the Chargers.

Coach Sean McDermott really didn't have a choice. Nathan Peterman has been an unmitigated disaster in two starts, throwing five interceptions in one half against the Chargers last year before completely face-planting Week 1 against the Ravens. Peterman was seeing ghosts before he was yanked in the third quarter. Allen led a field goal drive versus Baltimore while completing 6-of-15 passes for 74 yards. The Chargers are on the D/ST streaming radar for Sunday.

Speaking Monday, Bills coach Sean McDermott said he was "still evaluating" his Week 12 quarterback decision.

It's unclear what there is to evaluate. Tyrod Taylor should have never been benched in the first place and rookie Nathan Peterman was unspeakably bad in his place. McDermott also said he doesn't regret the decision to start Peterman, which leads us to wonder if he knows the definition of regret. If Taylor plays, he'll be firmly on the streaming radar against the Chiefs. If it's Pick Tossin' Nate, fire up the Chiefs.

Tyrod Taylor has been benched as the Bills' starting quarterback in favor of fifth-round rookie Nathan Peterman.

This comes four days after Taylor went 9-of-18 for just 56 yards in an embarrassing Week 10 home loss to the Saints. Peterman came in for mop-up work late, going 7-of-10 for 79 yards and a touchdown, and coach Sean McDermott is now rolling with his handpicked guy. Taylor is a holdover from ex-coach Rex Ryan and may have played his final snap for the Bills. Due a $10 million salary and $6 million roster bonus next year, Taylor is an offseason cut candidate.
