ESPN Falcons reporter Vaughn McClure expects the team to try and hammer out a contract extension with Roddy White before training camp next week.
The Falcons open camp next Friday. White is entering the final year of his deal. At 32 years old, he's not going to command elite wideout money. But another 2-3 years with $8-10 million guaranteed seems realistic. White is still on top of his game, as he reeled in 38 passes for 449 yards and two touchdowns over the final four games last season. He has WR1/2 upside in a pass-heavy offense. Jul 15 - 11:12 AM

Coach Mike Smith said Julio Jones (foot) and Roddy White (ankle) are currently working out at the Falcons facility.

Both starting wideouts are expected to be ready for the spring, but Smith said he just wants them healthy in September. It shouldn't be an issue. Although Jones has fractured his foot in the same place twice, the Falcons have expressed no long-term concerns.

Drew Davis played on 71-of-83 snaps in Sunday's loss at Arizona.

Over the last two weeks, Davis has played 87.0 percent of the snaps. It led to a breakout Week 8 performance that included five catches for 77 yards and a touchdown. The problem, of course, is that Roddy White (hamstring, ankle) could be back as soon as this week. At that point, Davis won't be getting enough playing time to be worth a start.

Julio Jones (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Jones is locked in as a top-three fantasy wide receiver play against the Dolphins this week. Look for him to be upgraded to full participation later in the week. Roddy White didn't practice Wednesday, and he's going to be a game-time decision for the third week in a row as he battles that high-ankle sprain. Continue to steer clear of White in fantasy. He's a high-risk WR3 play.

Julio Jones (knee) and Roddy White (ankle) are both active for Sunday's Week 2 game against the Rams.

As expected. Both Jones and White were listed as questionable after getting in limited practices on Friday. Each player sat out on Wednesday and Thursday. Jones is safe to keep in fantasy lineups, but White is a very risky play as a WR3. He was merely a decoy last week. White warned fantasy owners earlier in the week. "If I don't practice, then don't start me," White tweeted. "It's a red flag."

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Julio Jones (knee) and Roddy White (ankle) are both expected to play versus the Rams on Sunday.

Both players are listed as questionable after getting in limited practices Friday. Coach Mike Smith had already confirmed White would suit up, leaving Jones as the lone question mark. Neither player will be at 100 percent. We'd knock Jones down to a WR2, while White is a dicey WR3 play after barely practicing. "As far as fantasy. If I don't practice, then don't start me," White tweeted earlier in the week. "It's a red flag."
