Speaking Monday, Bills coach Sean McDermott said Tyrod Taylor remains the team's starting quarterback when healthy.
McDermott also said Taylor's Week 14 deactivation was "mostly" based on his health, whatever that means. It appears there's a decent chance Taylor is back for Week 15 against the Dolphins. Nathan Peterman is in the concussion protocol. Despite his recent disappointments and health issues, Taylor will be on the streaming radar if he can give it a go. Dec 11 - 1:56 PM

Sal Maiorana of the Democrat and Chronicle believes it would be "utterly shocking" if Nathan Peterman does not start Week 14 against the Colts.

Maiorana notes Peterman took "all the first-team reps" in practice this week while Tyrod Taylor is still dealing with a sore knee which has given him a noticeable limp. If he does in fact start, Peterman will have a golden matchup, but he cannot be trusted in fantasy lineups following his debacle against the Chargers. Peterman getting the nod would also be a downgrade for Kelvin Benjamin.

Coach Sean McDermott announced rookie Nathan Peterman will start Week 11 against the Chargers.

"We were made to be more than 5-4, and I've come here to be more than 5-4," McDermott said. "Really, it's about becoming a better team. Every position is evaluated and that's the direction I decided to go." Taylor and the entire offense is coming off a horrendous Week 10 against the Saints, but that was his first bad game at home. Peterman came in late for mop-up work, playing his first 11 snaps of the season. He went 7-of-10 for 79 yards and a score and was handpicked by McDermott and the new regime as a fifth-rounder. He had a nondescript preseason. His first NFL start will be on the road in L.A. against the Bolts. The offense will continue to run through LeSean McCoy.
