Jeff Carter has had a number of strong seasons with Los Angeles, but 2016-17 was the first time he surpassed the 30-goal mark since the 2010-11 campaign when he was still with the Philadelphia Flyers. More specifically, Carter finished with 32 goals and 66 points last season, which also made it the third straight campaign where he surpassed the 60-point mark. His goals did tend to come in bunches, but that's not particularly unusual for goal scorers and given that he's relatively consistent on a per season basis, it's fine. Pencil him in for another 25-30 goals and 55-65 points.

Carter is out indefinitely, but beyond that we don't have a timetable for him. There was an earlier report that suggested that the skate cut caused tendon damage. He has three assists in six games this season. We wish him the best in his recovery.
