Neil Warnock will need to wait a little longer to discover the full extent of the hamstring injury suffered by Marouane Chamakh during Saturdays’ home draw with Stoke City.
The Moroccan striker limped off because a thigh problem with only fifteen minutes remaining and although a scan proved inconclusive Warnock has ruled Chamakh out of this weekends’ match. Tests highlighted an issue with the muscle although it is unclear whether the mark was from an existing tear or a new one – the player will have another scan when the injury has had a chance to "calm down." The Eagles face a difficult trip to the Etihad in the early kick-off on Saturday and manager Neil Warnock will need to decide whether Fraizer Campbell or Dwight Gayle – who has disappointed of late – will lead the line. Marouane Chamakh is out for at least a week with a hamstring injury.

Joe Ledley has recovered from a strain midweek but Chamakh won't be able to make the Burnley match. Dwight Gayle has also recovered and is a good option this week as he looks to build upon his four goals this season against one of the worst teams in the league - Burnley. No other big injuries at Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace have signed striker Kevin Doyle on a four month loan.

The Republic of Ireland international will challenge Marouane Chamakh, Dwight Gayle and Fraizer Campbell for a starting spot at Crystal Palace but the team have struggled in all aspects of the game and Doyle doesn't seem to be worth a roster spot in most fantasy formats. He has previous Premier League experience but we don't anticipate that to help too much in this situation.

Marouane Chamakh scored a good goal, but Crystal Palace were well beaten by West Ham at Selhurst Park.

One thing Palace were renowned for last season was their defensively solidity, but that was nowhere to be seen against the Hammers. They were completely outplayed in the first half, and were eventually beaten 3-1 despite a good strike by Chamakh. The Eagles have lost their first two games and desperately need a new manager before a poor start to the season becomes a crisis.

Sky Sports are reporting that Marouane Chamakh will sign a new two-year deal with Crystal Palace.

Chamakh didn't score many goals for Palace last season, but his work rate under Tony Pulis was vital for the tactical system to work, and the club have been keen to extend the striker's contract before it ends on 31 July. The Moroccan has been linked with QPR and French side Bordeaux during the summer, but Sky Sports appear confident a deal with the Eagles has already been done and is due to be announced within the next 24 hours.

Free agent Marouane Chamakh has admitted he is determined to stay in the Premier League, even if he fails to agree a new deal at Crystal Palace.

Chamakh didn't score many goals for Palace last season, but his work rate under Tony Pulis was vital for the tactical system to work, and the club are keen to tie the striker to a new deal before his contract ends at the end of the month. If negotiations fail then Chamakh is keen to stay in England, and he could be an attractive proposition for one of the promoted clubs.

Crystal Palace top scorer Marouane Chamakh faces a fitness test on the hamstring he injured at Swansea.

The doubt over Chamakh makes Glenn Murray a likely starter this weekend as the Eagles host Southampton. Other concerns are Joe Ledley, Damien Delaney and Kagisho Dikgacoi. All three men missed their respective mid-week international friendlies due to injury and are slight doubts to feature this weekend.

Crystal Palace fought valiantly for the first half but couldn't keep Arsenal out and capitulated 2-0 at the Emirates.

Tony Pulis has been a magic man since taking over at Selhurst Park but he could extend Palace's strong run of form at the Emirates Sunday. Former Gunner Marouane Chamakh lost Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's runand Santi Cazorla found the Ox with a looping ball that Chamberlain controlled deftly and scored. Oxlade-Chamberlain scored a second to seal Palace's fate.

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis is serious about bringing in some new talent to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window.

Pulis: "The window's open now and we're looking to do some business; we need to do some business. We have to bring in people to strengthen us. If you bring the right players in, if you can bring one or two in and they gel quickly enough then they can certainly help you turn your season around or give you that push that you need to get over the line. The important thing at this football club is that we bring players in who have got something to prove. I've got a list of players, the chairman (Steve Parish) has got that list of players. We need to get deals done if we're going to push on. That's always been my thoughts and that was before I got to the football club." Marouane Chamakh leads the team with four goals, but it's not enough. Palace have scored a league-low 13 goals thru 20 games and boast a 2-0-8 record on the road with just five goals.

Maourane Chamakh had scored in his three previous Premier League matches, but against Newcastle United he drew a blank. The yellow card he earned for a foul of Fabricio Coloccini will keep him out of the Eagles' trip to Aston Villa on Boxing Day.

In Chamakh's absence, Cameron Jerome may be partnered with Dwight Gayle, or he may lead the line on his own, with support from midfield in the likes of Barry Bannan, Jason Puncheon, and Yannick Bolasie.

Marouane Chamakh continued his rebirth under Tony Pulis in Week 16 despite his team losing on their visit to Stamford Bridge.

The former Arsenal forward, along with the entire Palace team, has been much improved since it became clear that Tony Pulis would become their new manager. The goal was Chamakh's third in his last three matches and came from a Joel Ward cross. Palace fought valiantly against the more talented Blues but couldn't find a second goal to take a point home with them across London.

Marouane Chamakh scored for the second consecutive game and Crystal Palace earned their second consecutive win, defeating fellow promoted side Cardiff City 2-0.

In the span of 72 hours, Crystal Palace have almost doubled their points on the season from 8 to 14 after back to back wins at Selhurst Park. Tony Pulis' defensive record remains perfect at home as well and Palace fans have to feel excited about their chances of keeping their place in the top flight. Two goals in two for Chamakh should see his price tag rise but Palace travel to Chelsea next making it difficult to recommend him even as a budget option unless you want to play five midfielders and stash the Turk.

Tony Pulis made his managerial debut for Crystal Palace, and the Eagles were able to earn a much needed victory over West Ham United by a score of 1-0, courtesy of a goal from Marouane Chamakh.

The Pulis system has officially taken over Selhurst Park, as the new boss executed his patented style of tactics that have a tendency to end in 1-0 affairs. The goal came as a result of a Palace corner, taken by Barry Bannan who quickly crossed it in, and Chamakh was able to get the slightest touch of a header to direct it home. Pulis' arrival may not do much for the fantasy potential of Palace's attacking players, but their defense should surely tighten, and prospects like Joel Ward are emerging as more legitimate options.

Crystal Palace managed to secure their first point after seven consecutive league defeats, but will feel they could have done better in a 0-0 draw with Everton at Goodison Park.

Everton dominated possession in this game and Crystal Palace looked their usual uneventful selves for most of the match. However, the Eagles had three clear chances to score, coming from Marouane Chamakh, Kagisho Dikcagoi, and Jerome Thomas. The Dikcagoi chance was especially frustrating as he had a clear header and open target, but somehow headed it completely away from goal, almost as if he we attempting to clear rather than score. The Eagles' schedule becomes very favorable for the next several weeks, but other than the efforts of Mile Jedinak, there is not much to shop for from Crystal Palace.
