QPR were well beaten on Monday night at Goodison Park but Bobby Zamora scored his first of the season in the 3-1 loss.
It would have been more romantic if Bobby Zamora's last kick for QPR or even as a professional had been the goal that put the Rs back in the Premier League and saved them from financial ruin. It didn't turn out that way and the injury-prone forward continued as a reserve this season and he finally scored his next goal late on in the 3-1 loss at Goodison Park. Bobby Zamora's 90th minute goal was enough to send Queens Park Rangers back into the Premier League with a playoff win over Derby County.

The veteran forward has likely played his last match for QPR but his final kick was a huge one for a club on the financial brink. Down and man and likely headed to extra time, Zamora's goal propels Harry Redknapp's men back to the Premier League where they will have a chance to get their spending under control without going into administration. This was Zamora's second play-off winner following his 2005 goal that sent West Ham United into the Premier League.
