Alvaro Negredo will be the man to watch when Middlesbrough face Hull City at home on Saturday.
Negredo, who netted a double in a 2-2 draw with champions Leicester City last weekend, will need another strong performance against fellow relegation candidates Hull City. Middlesbrough enter the match winless in their last three matches and just one point ahead of Hull in the relegation battle. However, Negredo has history on his side. The striker scored on his lone Premier League appearance against Hull, in August of 2013 for Manchester City, and has been directly involved in more league goals than any other member of Boro--three goals and three assists in 13 appearances. Alvaro Negredo struck twice as Middlesbrough drew 2-2 at Leicester City on Saturday.

Alvaro Negredo produced a heroic brace against Leicester to ended his 10-match scoring drought. Boro produced the matches opening goal through Negredo when the forward swept his left-footed finish into the top corner of the net, over a diving effort from goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler. However, Negredo didn't stop there and scored his second of match to break the 1-1 deadlock in the 72nd minute. Negredo's third goal of the season came after he ran onto a ball over the top, which sent him through unmarked, and kept his cool with a superbly-struck volley past Zieler. While the match ended in a 2-2 draw, Negredo should have multiple chances to find his fourth goal of the season when Boro face Hull City next Monday.

Alvaro Negredo will look to end his scoring-drought when Middlesbrough clash with Chelsea this Sunday.

Confidence is running high for Boro, who are unbeaten in their last three Premier League. After drawing Arsenal and defeating Bournemouth, they produced last-minute heroics against Manchester City in Week 11. However, the one thing missing has been goals from on-loan forward Alvaro Negredo. Negredo, who scored a goal and tallied two assists in his two matches, has not found the net since Week 1. While the end product has eluded him, Negredo has attempted eight total shots over the course of his last three matches. The 31-year-old will look to end his 10-match scoring-drought against a Chelsea side that hasn't conceded since September, and enter the game unbeaten in their last five.

Alvaro Negredo needed just 11 minutes to score his first goal for Middlesbrough, but it was not enough to claim all three points from Stoke City as the Smoggies drew 1-1.

The 30-year-old would have claimed all the headlines if not for a curling second half free-kick by Xherdan Shaqiri, which leveled the match at its final score in the 67th minute. Negredo was not the only Tessider who impressed, Gsaton Ramirez provided the assist on the debutant's goal while also hitting the post with a blistering effort in the second half.

Middlesbrough have finalized their loan move for Valencia forward Alvaro Negredo.

Boro have historically struggled to recruit top tier forwards. In Negredo they have a player who has succeeded at least sporadically and offers hope as they rise back into to the Premier League. The 30-year-old former Manchester City man wasn't terrible at the Etihad (9G, 3A in 21 starts and 11 sub appearances) but neither did he light the world on fire. His 2015-16 season at Valencia was underwhelming with 5 goals and 2 assists in 12 starts and 13 sub appearances. This looks like the case of a big name who is unlikely to live up to it. At least this is only a loan for Boro and they aren't paying a big transfer fee for Negredo.

Middlesbrough is expected to announced a season-long loan move for Valencia striker Alvaro Negredo in the coming week.

The loan deal reportedly includes paying the full cost of Negredo's wages, which are close to £100,000-a-week, in addition to a small loan fee while his contract also includes a chance for Middlesbrough to make the move permanent. The former Manchester City forward has spent the last two seasons at the La Liga side, where he has scored only 10 goals since leaving the Etihad. Meanwhile, Negredo is expected to join former Valencia teammate in defender Antonio Barragan, who joined the Teessiders in a £2 million move last week.

Manchester City have agreed to a season long loan of Alvaro Negredo to Valencia with a commitment by the Spanish club to agreee to an eventual permanent move for a transfer fee believed to be in the neighborhood of £30million.

With the emergence of Stevan Jovetic this season, Negredo found himself fourth in the pecking order at the striker position and this move should give him more playing time. Valencia will have to wait a bit for his services as he currently recovering from a foot injury. Obviously, there must be mitigating circumstances around this deal but if all goes according to plan, Negredo will be officially out of the Premier League to begin next season.

Alvaro Negredo is 'happy' and 'settled' at Manchester City and has no intention of leaving the Premier League club.

Reports over the past few months had suggested Negredo could return to Spain this summer after just one season at Manchester City. The striker had an electric start to his Etihad career, scoring 23 goals in all competitions, but a shoulder injury in January meant time on the sidelines and he never reached the same level on his return, losing his place to Edin Dzeko. This led to Negredo missing out on Spain's World Cup squad and there had been rumours of homesickness, but the 28-year-old insists he wants to stay in England and remains fully committed to the Premier League champions.

Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo is optimistic his recent lack of goals will not see him miss out on a place in Spain's World Cup squad.

Negredo made a blistering start to his Manchester City career but "The Beast" has started only one Premier League game in the past month, losing his spot to Edin Dzeko since injury. Team news suggests Dzeko will continue to partner Sergio Aguero for the title run-in, so Negredo will be hoping his impressive haul of 23 goals in his début season in England will be enough to convince Vicente del Bosque's that he deserves his place on the plane Brazil.

Manuel Pellegrini has revealed Alvaro Negredo will miss the FA Cup tie with Watford after suffering a shoulder injury.

Pellegrini said "Alvaro is not ready for Saturday. We will see in the next days how his shoulder reacts from the work he is doing. Maybe in a week he will be okay.". This suggests Negredo won't be ready to face Tottenham in midweek either, meaning Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko should start the Week 23 match-up.

Alvaro Negredo scored twice as Manchester City beat West Ham 3-0 (9-0 aggregate) to advance to the Carling Cup final. However, the Beast injured his shoulder and the club will learn if the injury is serious tomorrow.

Manchester City do have Sergio Aguero and Stevan Jovetic coming back to fitness (Aguero scored again today) but Negredo has been the perfect foil for the Argentine star and he'll be missed if he is indeed injured.

Alvaro Negredo scored his 9th goal of the season and first on the road since opening day in 2nd half stoppage time as Manchester City win their 6th straight game to move to the top of the table in a controversy filled 0-2 win over Newcastle United.

As City await the return of Sergio Aguero, they continue to show how strong they are even without the all world striker. Goals from Edin Dzeko early and Negredo late accounted for the scoring, with assists provided by Aleksandar Kolarov and James Milner respectively as the Sky Blues took advantage of a depleted Newcastle defense. Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri exited in the 2nd half due to injury, with the latter's case looking the more serious. Buy your City players in bulk this week, as they prepare to dissect the Cardiff City defense at the Etihad.

Alvaro Negredo's hat-trick helped Manchester City take a giant step towards the Capital One Cup final as they thrashed a woeful West Ham 6-0 in the semi-final first leg at the Etihad.

Negredo was back on the goal trail with a superb hat-trick after a couple of quiet weeks, while Edin Dzeko grabbed a brace and Yaya Toure also got himself on the score-sheet. City have been sensational at home in all competitions and have done remarkably well to ensure the loss of Sergio Aguero had no real impact on their season. West Ham are now winless in six matches and find themselves facing a cup exit while firmly in the Premier League relegation zone.

Alvaro Negredo scored the game-winner late in the 1st half as City hold off Liverpool 2-1 in a thrilling finish to the Boxing Day matches.

Luis Suarez and Raheem Sterling combined to find Philippe Coutinho (24') for the games' opening goal midway through the 1st half, but an equalizer from Vincent Kompany (31') and a second from Negredo (45') were enough to give City a huge win at the Etihad. For Negredo it was his 8th goal of the 2013 season and his 9th-straight goal at the Etihad. With Sergio Aguero currently sitting out due to injury, this was a positive sign for City who now sit at No.2 in the latest BPL standings. With the loss Liverpool fal1 to No.4 overall. The Sky Blues are 9-0-0 at home - 37 goals scored.
