Sky Sports Italia and The Express are reporting that Costa Rican forward Joel Campbell will leave Arsenal for Palermo on a permanent deal.
No word on the value of the deal or the length of the contract that Campbell might sign but the story seems fairly definitive that a deal will happen. Campbell hasn't made a dent in the senior squad since his capture so losing him is highly unlikely to have an impact. Any funds recouped on Campbell are unlikely to make a significant impact on either Arsenal's financial performance as a club or on their ability to buy a replacement. Aug 14 - 3:39 PM

Joel Campbell was extremely dangerous in Costa Rica's 1-0 loss to Mexico in the Gold Cup.

Campbell was once again fantastic for his country but he failed to score and Costa Rica were ultimately knocked out of the Gold Cup. He had a good strike in the 53rd minute that ended up sailing over the bar and also had a great run towards the end of the match where his shot was barely saved by goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa. The match was decided on a 120th minute penalty which was shown to be extremely controversial by replays. Mexico will face Panama in the semi-final in what seems to be an easy matchup for them.

A Turkish newspaper has linked Arsenal forward Joel Campbell with a €10 million move from Arsenal to Fenerbahce this summer.

After yet another productive loan spell away from Arsenal, this one at Villarreal, Joel Campbell appears likely to be leaving Arsenal on a permanent basis this summer. Campbell seems to be getting farther from playing a significant role at Arsenal rather than closer. If Fenerbahce, or someone else, comes through with a fee similar to the €10 million mooted in this rumor, it seems likely that Campbell will be sold.

Villarreal have reached agreement with Arsenal for the sale of center-back Gabriel Paulista, with the Gunners forward Joel Campbell heading to the Spanish club on loan for the rest of the season.

The deal was agreed on Saturday evening, shortly before Villarreal's Primera Division match against Levante kicked off at El Madrigal. It comes at a good time for Campbell who has made just four appearances for the club this season, totaling 41 minutes in all.

Arsenal forward Joel Campbell, on loan at Olympiakos, scored a demoralizing second goal against Manchester United in today's Champions League match.

Arsenal supporters will take some joy from the fact that one of their players finally scored against Manchester United this season. That's the upside. The downside is that the player in question was on loan to another club and couldn't contribute to an Arsenal win against the Red Devils. Still, with Arsenal looking for attacking options over the summer, Campbell reminded the team that he is worth considering even if he isn't the big name that supporters are hoping for.
