Libor Kozak looked horrible in Aston Villa's U21s game.
Kozak didn't get a lot of service but he looked far from in-form and doesn't seem likely to replace any of Aston Villa's forwards in the near future. He isn't worth holding onto in any leagues at the moment and should be left on the waiver wire. Tue, Sep 29, 2015 09:16:00 AM

Libor Kozak scored twice in Aston Villa's 2-2 draw against Wolverhampton.

Kozak started the match and played very well, leading the line for Aston Villa alongside Gabby Agbonlahor in a 4-4-2. Scott Sinclair and Leandro Bacuna were on the wings, supporting the attack. Kozak had a number of chances to score and netted on two of them before being substituted for newcomer Jordan Ayew. With Villa set to sign Emmanuel Adebayor, that seems to leave them with four strikers in what will presumably be a 4-4-2 formation this season. The unknown leaves all of them with a decreased fantasy value at the moment.

Libor Kozak is determined to come back stronger than ever after recovering from a broken leg.

Kozak suffered the broken leg from a training ground tackle on January 1st, 2014 and was forced to miss seven months after undergoing surgery. He then had a number of set-backs and had to undergo a follow-up procedure, but is now returning to full speed. He is set to participate in pre-season and wants to be full speed by week one, but it's unlikely that he'll be able to go 90 minutes by that time. Kozak will have the chance to lead Aston Villa in attack with only Jordan Ayew there to give him any sort of competition for the starting striker position, but the two may end up splitting time. A player without a guaranteed role that is coming off a serious injury should not be on your fantasy radar.

Aston Villa only scored 31 goals this season, which was their lowest ever in a league season, according to SkySports and Opta.

Aston Villa missed their two main strikers - Christian Benteke and Libor Kozak, for big parts of the season and that surely has to do with their low goal total. Benteke caught fire towards the end and was fantastic, but rumor has it he could leave Villa this summer. Kozak, on the other hand, didn't play a single match this year and has suffered numerous set-backs while recovering from injury. If Benteke leaves, there will be little attacking fantasy value here next season, but Kozak could provide some value in very late rounds of fantasy drafts.

Libor Kozak is unlikely to play again this season after Tim Sherwood confirmed the striker is suffering from a back problem.

Kozak had been working his way back to full fitness following a double leg fracture in training almost 18 months ago and the striker was nearing a return following an appearance for the under-21 side. However this latest setback will keep the player out for the next 3-games although the problem is not thought to be serious just "general wear and tear." On a brighter note Sherwood has been boosted by the news that Nathan Baker is back in training, the defender was expected to miss the remainder of the campaign after picking up a knee injury during the FA Cup semi-final win over Liverpool. Although this weekend will come too soon Baker he will be available for the final 2-games and provides some much needed defensive cover especially with Jores Okore struggling due to an ongoing knee issue.

Libor Kozak has suffered a setback and will be out until 2015.

Kozak was expected to return in November or December but has suffered a set-back on his leg and has had to have another operation this week. This is really bad news for him as he is now set to be out for the remainder of the calendar year. With Christian Benteke returning from injury right now, it will be hard for Kozak to break the starting XI at Villa once he returns. He is safe to drop in almost all fantasy formats at the moment.

Libor Kozak is ahead of schedule in his rehab from a leg injury last year but will not be ready for the start of the season.

Kozak suffered a broken leg in January and was initially given a return date around September or October. Villa boss Paul Lambert has stated that Kozak will not be ready for the beginning of the season but is indeed recovering very well and will be back sooner rather than later. We won't be surprised to see him on the pitch in September, but don't expect him to be fully fit until October or November.

Aston Villa's Libor Kozak is not certain if he will be ready for the new season after suffering from a broken leg in January.

Villa manager Paul Lambert has said that Kozak is doing well and moving in the right direction but he is not sure that the striker will be ready for the beginning of the season. Lambert described Kozak's situation as "wait and see", so check back before the beginning of the season to see if Kozak is ready. With Christian Benteke out until at least October, Kozak could be a solid fantasy choice if he recovers in time.

Libor Kozak will be out for the season with a broken leg.

Kozak broke his leg during a practice session when he collided with Ciaran Clark. He was taken to a hospital and ruled out for the remainder of the season. Aston Villa have out of form Christian Benteke and rarely used Nicklas Helenius at the striker position but they will likely look to reinforce their options in the January transfer window. Benteke coming back to form will be a huge boost and Paul Lambert will surely try to get the Belgian striker set up for an easy goal to break him out of his slump. Don't be surprised to see him play in the FA Cup, where Villa are expected to win comfortably over Sheffied United.

Libor Kozak started and scored for Aston Villa in a 2-1 loss to Stoke City.

Kozak started in place of Christian Benteke and scored Aston Villa's only goal on the day. He has been playing much better as of late and has made a case for being Villa's main choice at striker. If he wins a consistent starting spot at Villa, Kozak could be a decent fantasy option. The return of Gabby Agbonlahor next week will only increase the value of VIlla's starting striker.

Libor Kozak is back in training with Aston Villa after missing last week's match against Fulham with a toe injury.

Kozak has been making a case for his starting for Villa over the slumping Christian Benteke. While I would expect the Belgian to start against Manchester United, it would be nice for the Villans to at least have Kozak as an option off the bench.

Libor Kozak missed Aston Villa's game against Fulham due to a toe injury and could miss next weekend's game as well.

Kozak's absence put Christian Benteke in the starting lineup but he struggled once again. Kozak was missed as Aston Villa couldn't score and the striker could return to the starting lineup upon his return from injury. The Czech international will likely miss Villa's game against Manchester United, meaning Benteke will start again. Ron Vlaar is also a doubt for the Manchester game with a calf injury but both should be back by the new year.

Libor Kozak scored a goal while on international duty with the Czech Republic in a 2-1 loss to Italy.

Kozak put the Czech Republic up top 1-0 in the 19th minute, but that wasn't enough to earn them a win and they are now in danger of not qualifying for the World Cup. Kozak was brought in to be a backup for Villa star Christian Benteke so I wouldn't expect him to make much of an impact right away, but if Benteke was to get injured, Kozak would be an ideal cheap option up top.
