Chelsea striker Bertrand Traore has completed a permanent transfer to French side Lyon.
The Burkina Faso international joins Lyon on a five-year contract for a fee of €10 million, with the deal including a 15 per cent sell on clause for Chelsea should the Ligue 1 outfit decide to sell the striker in the future. The 21-year-old joined Chelsea in January 2014 and spent the first 18 months of his Blues career on loan at Vitesse, scoring 17 goals in 48 Eredivisie appearances. Traore returned to Stamford Bridge for the 2015-16 season and made 16 starts, scoring four goals, under Jose Mourinho and caretaker manager Guus Hiddink. But the arrival of Michy Batshuayi saw Traore sent out on loan to Ajax last season, where he turned heads with 13 goals in 39 appearances and shined on the club's run to the Europa League final. Traore becomes the third Chelsea player to leave this summer following the sale of Juan Cuadrado (Juventus) and Christian Atsu (Newcastle). Jun 26 - 4:13 PM

In what could first the first of many loans this week, Dutch giant Ajax has confirmed the signing of Chelsea winger Bertrand Traore on a season-long loan.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte will send the 20-year-old on loan after the return of Juan Cuadrado from his loan at Juventus and Victor Moses from his loan at West Ham would have likely buried Traore in the depth chart. The Burkina Faso international scored four goals for Chelsea last season in 16 appearances last season. Reports suggest defender Matt Miazga is also set to go out on loan this season to Eintracht Frankfurt after Conte confirmed he wants to send the American out for first-team playing time while Kenedy is also rumored to be close to a loan.

Bertrand Traore missed international duty with Burkina Faso due to a minor hip injury.

Traore is expected to be back in training later this week and should be available for selection as early as week five, but he is not a fantasy option at this time as he is extremely low on Chelsea's pecking order. Avoid Traore in all fantasy leagues.

Bertrand Traore and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are unlikely to go out on loan this season.

Jose Mourinho had comments on the two youngsters after Chelsea's friendly match in the US last night and noted how talented the two are. He also emphasized that neither is ready for first-team football on a regular basis and both will have to improve significantly. In this case, the Blues' boss is not interested in sending them out on loan and prefers to develop them in-house. That leaves both players with zero fantasy value this season.
