Roberto Martinez was quoted as saying he "hopes to have (Lacina Traore) back playing for Everton in six weeks."
In addition to the timetable, Martinez also stated that the loanee from AS Monaco will not require surgery as he recovers from the hamstring injury. Still, considering he is Monaco property and the season will be winding down by the time of his projected return, it would be hard to picture him having much effect during his stint with the Toffees, and will not be rushed back until all parties are confident in his fitness. Roberto Martinez indicated in his most recent press conference that Ivorian striker Lacina Traore's hamstring injury will require treatment that "is going to take a long period of time."

Martinez was also quoted with giving a rough "weeks, not months" timetable, which would have one assume Traore will likely be sidelined until at least April, leaving about a month to contribute something during his loan spell barring any setbacks. By then, it will be up to the status of Romelu Lukaku as to whether Traore will see any significant pitch time.

Lacina Traore will have tests on the hamstring which he injured in warmups prior to Everton's loss at Stamford Bridge as his league debut continues to be delayed.

The loanee from AS Monaco was just minutes from his first Premier League start when Roberto Martinez was forced to turn to Steven Naismith to lead the line. It was the perfect opportunity for the big man to show what he could offer as Romelu Lukaku was unavailable to face his parent club. Now, with Traore perhaps sidelined and Lukaku closer to returning, it may be some time before we see Traore in any capacity other than as a late substitute.

Roberto Martinez stated that newly signed striker Lacina Traore is "fully fit from a medical point of view", and with Romelu Lukaku still sidelined, an appearance this weekend is a distinct possibility.

At 6'8", it would be a highly anticipated debut for the youngster and see his ability in the air when the likes of Leighton Baines are delivering crosses into the box. Still a bit raw in other aspects of his game, he certainly has the physical attributes to excel at a high level should he continue to develop. He is definitely someone to monitor.

Everton continued to boost it's high quality squad of on-loan players with the acquisition of forward Lacina Traore from Monaco.

The 6'8" Traore isn't likely to be a major factor for the Toffees given the presence of Romelu Lukaku but does provide a temporary replacement for Nikica Jelavic who has been sold to Hull City. Traore is likely to get action as a substitute and maybe a spot start here and there but unless Lukaku is injured then it seems likely that will be the extent of his role at Everton this season. Unless Everton have an option to buy after the season, this is an odd move since they face losing Lukaku, Traore, Deulefeu, and Gareth Barry at the end of the season. That will be a hard group to replace.
