Jerome Thomas is doubtful for Crystal Palace's trip to Hull City after picking up a knock in training, while Paddy McCarthy (groin), Jack Hunt (broken ankle), Adlene Guedioura (broken ribs) and Glenn Murray (cruciate ligament) all remain sidelined.
Aside from the injury doubt over Thomas, caretaker boss Keith Millen could be set to name a close to unchanged line-up for what may prove to be his final game in-charge of the Eagles. The team that faced Everton in Week 11 was: Speroni, Ward, Gabbidon, Delaney, Moxey, Jedinak, Dikgacoi, Bannan, Thomas, Bolasie, Chamakh. Fri, Nov 22, 2013 09:28:00 AM

Jerome Thomas made his first appearance for Crystal Palace, being brought on as a substitute in a 0-2 loss to Swansea City.

Thomas was signed from West Brom in the offseason, brought in to give the Eagles some experience and stability in midfield. He was absent at the start of the campaign due to injury, but looks to be a regular for Ian Holloway's side now that he is returning to fitness. Palace's attack did show a bit more promise when Thomas and Dwight Gayle were brought in on the 67th minute.

Manager Ian Holloway has a number of injury concerns ahead of Sunday's match with Tottenham.

New signings Jose Campana and Jerome Thomas are both ruled out of the opening weekend. Campana picked up a knock in training, while Thomas limped off with a calf problem in the friendly defeat to Lazio. Yannick Bolasie is also unfit to play due to a hamstring complaint which means Palace are struggling for wide players, so Elliot Grandin and Jonny Williams are likely to come in to the team

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of winger Jerome Thomas on a two-year contract.

A smart deal by Ian Holloway. Snapped up on a free transfer, Thomas has admitted that the Palace boss was the main reason for his decision to sign with the Eagles and he'll bring some pace and trickery to the flanks. The ex-West Brom man can be a difficult player to defend against when fit and on form, and his top flight experience will be a welcome addition to the squad.

Crystal Palace will sign former West Brom winger Jerome Thomas, who was released by the Baggies, on Monday. They have also agreed a fee for Peterborough United's Dwight Gayle, who scored 13 goals for The Posh last season.

Thomas is a good player who has been slowed by injuries and subsequent lack of playing time over the years. He will be a good addition to Palace's squad. Gayle is an up-and-comer who was playing in non-League football two seasons ago. It will be interesting to see if he can make the next jump into them Premier League.

Arsenal's young Costa Rican forward Joel Campbell is a target for both Crystal Palace and West Ham United as he looks to continue the footballing apprenticeship he experienced at Betis last season.

With Palace strongly linked to Jerome Thomas - a deal that appears very close to done - Campbell may be the next piece in the attacking puzzle at Selhurst Park. With Wilfred Zaha headed to Manchester United with no promise of a further loan a young talent like Campbell could be just the thing. From the player's point of view it would be a great opportunity to prove he can be productive in the Premier League as he pushes for a spot at Arsenal.

Jerome Thomas - a part time player for West Brom last term - is a target for newly promoted Crystal Palace.

The former England youth international is the right sort of signing for a newly promoted team unsure of staying up. He isn't likely to cost too much after four goals in 3 Premier League seasons at WBA. The upside is that he does have some top flight experience which will be at a premium and they won't likely need to shed his salary if they do go straight back down. If this happens then Palace supporters can consider it a solid calculated risk.
