Emmanuel Riviere will miss the start of the 2015/2016 as he recovers from knee surgery.

A scan revealed the need to operate, so Riviere will be sidelined for at least the opening month of the season. Emmanuel Riviere and Daryl Janmaat have seen both of their moves to Newcastle United confirmed officially.

Newcastle have moved quickly to shore up their sagging roster in the early days of this summer's transfer window. They officially lost Mathieu Debuchy today but replaced him almost immediately with Dutch international Daryl Janmaat in a move that sees the Magpies get significantly younger at the right back position. Riviere joins, Siem De Jong and Remy Cabella in what promises to be a new-look attack for Alan Pardew. With rumors of Clement Grenier possibly on his way, things are certainly looking up for the Newcastle faithful after the first 6 months of the year verged on utter disaster.
